  1. The Liberals are not left. They are big business, big money.
  2. It's all fair game. This crap from Trudeau and the disgusting comments made by Sheer. They weren't kids when they did this stuff, they were adults.
  3. As Coach said, he may know the plays but won't know when they're going to be called. And, every team has the video of each game, so they know the plays too.
  4. Guy still scores 30 goals on a "down" year. Who cares when he scores them, power play or not. Can't replace goal scorers with the likes of Tanev.
  5. Lowry as second line centre with Copp as his wing? So, Wheeler has to carry that entire line? But then we have our best zone entry winger on the third line, playing in his own defensive zone all night?
  6. Not one person tonight was prepared to look Coach O'Shea in the eye and tell him how to run the team! It was another great event. Coach was open and honest as much as he could. He shied away from saying who was playing this week, obviously. He addressed a question about what Matthews could tell the Montreal about our play calling. He showed video of Montreal and talked about preparing for them. He shared the stats on Montreal, like how often they call certain plays and when they call them. He talked about not believing that a player can't lose his position when they get hurt. He talked about the freedom the players have when they are on the road. And he guaranteed a win on Saturday. Well, not the last one.
  7. I guess it's just us then, @Jpan85. More cookies for me!
  8. You want to replace Little with Copp, Roslo, or Lowry? None of those guys are second line centres. Maybe Roslo can become one but he hasn't shown it so far.
  9. Should be fined and suspended. That is an obvious attempt to injure. Can the CFL suspend for attempting to injure someone?
  10. Drew Edwards made an interesting point on his exit blog from 3Down on why he no longer enjoys covering the CFL as much: There are a few other little things, all of which could justify their own self-serving rant. The inherent contradiction of competing with the CFL’s ever-expanding “media” division while also covering it; the ever-declining level of discourse in the age of social media; the perception that holding the league and teams accountable is somehow akin to hating them. These are minor irritations that, built up over a decade, became somehow burdensome. We're losing quality journalism with the CFL's own media team. While I like Ed Tait and appreciate everything he's done, I wish he still did it for an independent newspaper. Better than nothing I suppose but he pulls his punches now, IMO, which makes sense for him.
  11. We're already paying Kulikov our broken-player money. Once he's off the books, we could replace him with another back-injury prone player.
  12. It makes tons of sense. He's looking at his wife and kids and not feeling the drive to get back on the ice. The timing is exactly that. I see it all the time with people at retirement age. They have the resources to retire but never felt the need to. But, then something happens or they wake up and say, "I don't want to do this any longer."
  13. Don't worry folks, help in on the way, although at a large cost. I had a dream last night that we traded Laine to the Hurricanes. Don't know what we got in return but I know that there were defence men and draft picks involved.
  14. Saskatoon and Regina are small cities. You're not going to get the same amenities that you would in a large city. Winnipeg, for arts, culture and sport hits above it's size. We're lucky. But, if you like the small city lifestyle and like the amenities it has, they are great little cities. If you're a hunter, Regina and Saskatoon are great. If you like spending your free time in the nature, canoeing, hiking or whatever, Regina and Saskatoon are great. If you like great food choices and lots of concerts, Regina and Saskatoon are not so great. It's like saying Toronto is a bad city because the buildings block the view of the Lake Ontario.
  15. I disagree. There are certainly areas that have challenges, just like Winnipeg, but it's growing and evolving. Saskatoon and Regina are both great little cities. And, cities are made up of the people and, despite their green handi-cap, the people of Saskatchewan are great people.
  16. The timing is telling. He's probably had doubts since the end of last year but, in the build up to the season, he probably hasn't felt the same excitement. He's sitting there, looking at his wife and his kids, thinking, "when is enough, enough."
  17. No. It's because he has a young family and lot of money. He loves his downtime.
  18. Anyone going tonight? I really enjoyed it last year and am looking forward to it tonight. Exclusively for our Bomber for Life members, meet with Head Coach Mike OShea as he reviews the season to date, talks strategy and game planning followed by a Q&A period. Doors open at 6:15 pm, session begins at 6:30 PM.
  19. Posted in another thread earlier by @Noeller
  20. Ugh, I've totally missed that. I mean, even for reconciliation, they should be tracked.
  21. They don't track spoiled ballots any longer? I missed this. Is this just at the federal level?
  22. Lazy, shiftless bastard Drew Edwards abandons 3Down, site to thrive without him By Drew Edwards - September 17, 2019 https://3downnation.com/2019/09/17/lazy-shiftless-bastard-drew-edwards-abandons-3down-site-to-thrive-without-him/ I won't deprive 3Down of the click but Drew is formally walking away.
