Agreed, it always bugged me how they let the coaches/players creep onto the field. Flagging the coaches for it once in a game would likely cause the coaches to back off. Obviously with things being called the way they are, coaches feel that complaining to the refs is helping their team, otherwise they wouldn't do it in the first place.

I don't think that would work, turnovers affect the game regardless of where they happen on the field. Also, if you had a rule like that, you have the added issue of determining whether a play was within 20 yards of the endzone (example: A play happened on the 21 yard line, or was it on the 20?) which would just add to the confusion and possibly cause challenges to take even longer. I'd be okay if they scaled back the use of challenges entirely. If they're going to allow for challenges, they need to do a better job of relaying that information to the home crowds at games and the commentators in the booth. Often it seems there's downtime where everyone is just standing around and nobody knows what is happening or what (if anything) is under review. It just looks plain bad when that happens...

A season ticket holder commits to 18 games of frustration (I guess possibly more if you include playoffs and preseason), about $1,400 (assuming 2 seats, could be a bit more or less) and the time and energy to commit going to each of the home games. I wasn't trying to offend, just lighten the mood. I'm a season ticket holder as well and I'm tired of seeing our team looking (again) like we're just not at the same level as the other teams.

It's only Week 4 right now .... as it stands it looks like it could be a long year, but at the same time, it's a long season. Who knows what could happen.

I would argue any bridges Miller burns by ordering O'Shea around now were burnt quite a long time ago unfortunately.

I respect our neighbors to the West, but damn I love watching them lose. Personally this clip never gets old for me.

Agreed, I never would want to wish ill on another human being, but if things do keep going the way they have been and we end up releasing Willy this year / after the season... I wish him all the best, I just hope he stops playing football and finds success doing something else. Nothing bugs me more than when we release a player with potential and then they get picked up by another team and it comes back to bite us. Bowman is probably the best current example of this.

Yeah talk about deja vu offensive schemes. The year thus far has reminded me of our 2011 'Swaggerville' team just without the awesome D. At least we have better uniforms, we've been losing but we've looked fantastic doing it.

Agree with this. The 'big' free agent signings we've had this off-season have looked rather pedestrian thus far. Even Medlock has missed a couple FGs, I know he can't hit them all, but that one he missed tonight really bit us later in the game, even a rouge would've pulled us within 3 and we would've likely limped to an OT loss instead... then again hindsight is always 20-20.

Yeah, I really don't get the play-calling... they could have managed the clock much better near the end of both the Montreal game and the game tonight...as well as before the half in the Calgary game when they botched a potential field-goal attempt. Every other team seems to understand the concept of getting out of bounds = free time out when the game is on the line. As for how long Willy's leash is... this loss is definitely on the offense. By no means did Willy play well tonight, but personally I thought things really started to go south for the offensive unit as a whole when one of our O-linemen (I think it was Jermarcus Hardick) checked out with an injury.

I agree here, not only would having Legett return kicks make him more prone to injuries, it could also tire him out more for when he plays D. Especially if we see the Winnipeg 2-and-outs tomorrow on offense.

I'll be wearing my Ploen jersey to the game Thursday then. Hopefully the Bombers can honor him with a win as well.

Since he likes NFL fantasy football, why not try getting him involved in CFL fantasy football? That way even if the Argos (assuming he follows them, since he lives in Toronto) tank, he still has a vested interest in the other games in a given week. Just a thought.

Since moving to IGF the Bombers have sadly only had 7 regular season wins at IGF (2013 - 1, 2014 - 3 and 2015 - 3)...that said, I think if we have a decent home crowd turnout, and provided the Bombers don't shoot themselves in the foot at the start of the game, I think we've got a chance.

It's great to see them get the W tonight, now we just need them to string a few together and gel as a team. Cautiously optimistic for next Thursday.

Just wanted to point out that the "-phobic" and "-phobia" suffixes imply fear of the root word i.e. fear of the Bombers. I don't think anyone should be fearing the team we've put on the field at this point...

More Canadian depth is always welcome. Assuming you guys are right about pending injury news... some fresh guys - whether starters or just guys on the PR is probably not be the worst thing for this team right now. Of course, one would hope none of the unannounced injuries are to key players.

Hindsight is always 20-20, even when Harris showed promise when he was in Toronto, there was no way to say he would develop into the QB he is now. Under that same logic we could also instead be saddled with Burris or Collaros who are both injured right now...

If the bombers don't post back-to-back wins before the end of this month, it'll be two years since they posted back to back wins
