  1. Ahem.. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Stampeders with another choke job...
  2. I was less than 1 when the Bombers last won a Grey Cup so... (d) None of the above
  3. I think this statement speaks more of the garbage coaches between O'Shea / Ritchie as opposed to complimenting O'Shea...
  4. Gotta disagree with you there.... spending time on a burnout like Carr is time and resources wasted that could be spent scouting a younger rising star. Not to mention it makes us look like idiots... remember how much everyone here was laughing at the 'Riders when they brought in Vince Young? On top of that, nothing came of it, I don't think Young even dressed a game for them... It is unfortunate, but football is a business and as fondly as some of us remember Greg Carr in his prime - it's time to move on.
  5. For others that are curious, Greg Carr bounced around the Arena Football League after leaving the CFL in 2013. He was even named rookie of the year in 2014 (in the AFL). He is currently listed as inactive on the Washington Valor roster.
  6. It's too bad those those jerseys missed the mark. I think they would've actually looked alright if they just had some specks of gold in them or something. As is, they look awful and remind me too much of an Argos uniform. I do find it funny how many people I see at games with Drew Willy versions of that jersey though...
  7. Well...I guess the call Maas made was at least a realistic field goal? Imagine if he had made that call on a 61-yarder haha... I think people are also underestimating how much respect he was giving Calgary's offense in that scenario. I think he would look at a tie game with that much time as ample opportunity for Mitchell to march the field for the walk-off FG anyways?
  8. Do you mean 61-yard? I know Medlock had a bad year, but I think he could make a 1-yard FG....
  9. Alright hear me out here... maybe MAYBE Maas thought they couldn't convert the 3rd and 4, and was expecting Whyte to miss? The rouge would've meant another TD would've allowed them to kick the PAT for 1?... That's even stupider though, because that'd be going for the rouge hah. Yeah okay that was a really bad call...
  10. All this talk about Matthews reminds me of one thing. Remember how everyone cried foul about releasing Thorpe this year? Imagine if we did the same thing to Matthews back when he asked for his release... there would be absolutely no way he'd come back. At least for now it's a foreseeable possibility, as opposed to just a pipe dream. Also hah at Fitzgerald ever wanting to play up here. Imagine this as a sales pitch for your current job: Want to pay more taxes, earn less money, and play in worse weather? Tired of golfing in Arizona year-round? Then have we got the league for you! I love the CFL... but you guys are kidding if you think Fitz would ever seriously come up here.
  11. It's hard to mash teeth when you don't have any!
  12. Meh, Bluto seems like a cool guy, Eskies knocked us out, and Calgary is insufferably full of themselves. I think I'm in the majority when I say once the Bombers were out of the running, everyone wants someone other than SSK to win. Doesn't matter who, just not them...
  13. I'm not going to let you spoil this mood.
  14. Alright, I'll bite... sure they got further than us, but I would argue we also were eliminated by a much better team, whilst they played the Redblacks to get where they were, we played the Eskies. As for showing class, respect is earned, not given... I understand your logic of taking the high road, but these idiots had anointed their team as holier-than-thou and destined to win the Grey Cup despite their undisciplined play throughout the season. Not only that, they got absolutely stomped in the season finale by the same team that eliminated us. Misery loves company Rider fans!
  15. Everyone said the same thing about the Redblacks last year... just gotta get there and anything can happen.
  16. Toronto, do us a favor and beat the snot out of them.
  17. How has this morphed into another "Richie Hall must go thread"?
  18. Why not name them the Halifax Blue Bombers? Having a team in each division would surely help our odds of breaking the drought.
  19. Across the board, if there was a single unit on our team that played hard night in and out and gave our team a chance to win it was the O-line. I still have nightmares of our line from previous years... it certainly was offensive.
  20. I am okay with this.
