Ya. Glenn can beat you if u give him time and weapons. They have weapons. Pressured glenn is prone to bad decisions, on top of injury concerns and that bad ol. Cover 0 all day. With calgay up after sask we really gotta come out flyin n establish our self against the riders. Id say glenn lasts under 4 games before hes hurt.

Sure can. Look at the difference in our OL last year with and with out newfie. Look at our grey cup when glenn was hurt. Look at the struggles we had at various points in time when we had bad centres and guys who couldnt snap playing centre. Good teams with no qb etc. In a team sport the weakest link is the most important position and one weak link can ruin you with ease. In the cfl if i had to pick a position to sacrifice at it would be DT. The last position would be any DB.

Unless you spend like a drunken sailor (popp in montreal) its hard to be in that bad of a spot sms wise. We allways have the ability to free up room by moving away from newfie with out hurting our active core at that. So id say we are ok. If we were in a good spot, we'd a signed bear woods. The difference between woods and hurl as our starting MLBer is like the difference between bond at centre and guard or the difference between bennett in TC vs pre season. How often after the draft order is known has the first over all been traded? i dont think its nearly that simple. Uh huh. floyd has 2 kos in 10+ years. Hes a good bit smaller then mcg, and fights even more cautiously with his hands in the last few fights then ever before. Floyd back then and prior could ko mcg. And probably would in the later rounds when he is gassed. But today? you couldnt be more wrong. floyds only chance of a ko is if mcg gasses worse then dada 5000. And that wont happen, he isnt gonna be half past dead going into it.

This was based on him tying a combine velocity record. idk if it was the main nfl combine either. But velocity is a fickle measurement of arm strength. plenty of guys can throw hard at 15 yards and shorter. Real cannons can throw hard deep passes. bennett has a real good arm. imo austin afflacka had a better arm. And neither is up there with the likes of michael bishop.

it doesnt much matter who starts as far as imps go. We will rotate DL a good bit. Last year we had hurl come in for an extra imp db frequently. We will see some thing similar this year. This way we gain an extra DI. (8 starting ni)

I think that had far more to do with the amount of depth in front of him. Johnson, jake, nevis and ekakitie he had nearly no chance of beating out 3 of those guys going in. And johnson was one of our best linemen.

1 free spot left for the PR. I expect renaud to be on the active roster for teams. Im surprised thorpe is on the PR and not on the IR. But we dont play week 1 so AR / PR isnt much important unless some one snipes one of our young guys. (namely spooner maybe briere.)

Most of the major sports leagues do this. Might be a thing of some bad teams in tough financial circumstances being protected. If they are fringe for a play off spot mid way through the year and have a bunch of cap space but cant spend that it could crash a fan base. It would be nice to get to that point though where teams salaries were public info.

We are pretty tight with sms this year so that savings could be a real butt saver later. Hurl isnt likely to go, but i could see newfie getting sacrificed to sms as well. (finally)

couture and goossen are still developmental guys. They are seasoned enough to have a more active role then say spooner, but they are only scratching at the surface of their potential. Similarly foketi is an imp ol whose got lots of up side left. Hes one of the more game ready guys but not a guy whose rounded out into his peak form or close to it yet imo. Spooner Is a longer term project. Not as long as intzandt would be though. That is a lot of OL whose best football is a year or maybe more down the road.

No joke. IDR the last time our OL was this deep. If it was up to me i might keep em all going into the season let them mash for a bit and see who rises to the top. Hate the thought of letting one go and that guy becoming a stud.
