For my money that is the best wr core in the league. Maybe more talented groups else where, but i dont think one works as well as a unit or fits as well in their offense. And imo our system would be the primary limiting factor in that match up. If we played a traditional style of D I think we would do as well as can be expected in this era of the cfl. But i think BC is the 2nd best team in the league. Bc and calgary are the elite teams imop. Only if glenn got hurt. Other wise the shine of a new season will last a few weeks. If it goes as I would expect (thud) its gonna get real ugly real fast. Jones cant be out of the league fast enough.

Pretty much. The amount of talent we have gone through in the front 7 is crazy. If this group fails its 100% on the system. And the coaching staff / management for sticking soo long with that bend but dont break junk. (the football equivalent of a knuckle ball/eephus pitcher.)

Against floyd, itd basically be like the phantom punch. The only less probable out come of that fight is floyd KOing mcg. If by destroyed you mean have a marathon ran around him get tapped by glass hands in massive pillows and be really really tired then yes.

They had bond in at centre. And couture at guard. Im guessing they wanted to diversify guys. Moving them around so in case of injury during the season its easier to move em. Merrman was solid and did well punting and kicking off. I dont think he would be out of place punting and kicking off in the cfl this year. But another year of college and he could be some thing really special. After soo many years of thin OLs. We finally seem to have a nasty OL with tons of depth. I think our best back ups would be about as good as our starting OL of not so long ago. Ive liked lankford in pre season. He reminds me of denny. Smooth runner who brings it and makes the most of his chances. Washington has better up side, but lankford is probably the most ready, and versatile guy we have for the final wr spot.

I think the question here is not why cant we sign one. Its why cant we find / develop one. And idk. Maybe its our system. A guy who can plug up the run and do some pass rushing shouldnt be hard to find. god knows BC and other teams have managed. But then some teams struggle to find DBs while we find tons.

The offense really showed well in this game. A bunch of guys could get a nod, especially the OL. 1 Harris/flanders. The qbs killed it tonight. But before the passing game got rolling harris was the spark. And mid way through when both teams were in a lull it was flanders who was the spark. combined 9-103 1 td rushing 7-86 receiving. 2 nichols / davis. Could easily be no1. But since the backs really sparked the offense early and often. More of a 1a and 1b. 25/32 328 yards 2 tds davis also ran for a first and a td. 3 A few wrs had good nights. washington, denny, lankford did a lot from drawing penalties to returning. But gonna give it to the OL. Both starters and reserve. They really seemed to be mashing tnite. HH? taylor loffler had a huge hit knocking an eskie WR to the ground and out of bounds early. Love the big hits.

Yeah i like the rule. If any thing i would like to see schools accommodate student athletes better and allow them to finish early. Dont like seeing talented players miss camp. Especially young ones. But i get it. And his degree could well earn him more money then the cfl long run. I certainly respect him for his decision making process.

He could very well be slower then what we last saw. The real danger with that is he thinks he is X fast and reacts accordingly. If he is x-2 that could be a big enough window. Floyd has brittle hands as well. If he badily breaks a hand early thats an opening. Floyd is a defensive fighter though. He is an expert at using boxing gloves as well as his feet to stay clean. The fight is 100% in floyds hands. If he performs and fights the same as he did against pacman he wins a decision. mcg has about as close to a 0% chance of winning a decision as it gets. He blew his gas against diaz. He isnt versed in full 5 round fights. Forget boxing 12 rounds. Not to mention hes used to striking with small gloves now. And defending with them. I think if its a decision victory its 100% floyd. If its a KO finish its 100% mcg. But i think its a 95% chance + that floyd wins. Mcg has a punchers chance. But thats diminished by the glove size. I like judge as a prospect. But yeah missing TC is huge. Especially for a guy coming from the US game. I imagine he could still be an impact players on Teams pretty quickly. Behar must be nuts holding out for more money then vandervoort got? But i would love his talent in blue n gold. Neufie would be a great deal for us too. I could see some one getting desperate enough to give up some thing of solid value for him this year.

Proved him self in edmonton soo well they practically gave him away. Remember how nichols played his first partial year here? Look at the 2nd tier qbs in the league and ask your self how many games would they have won/lost on our same team around them. How would nichols have done in sask last year? QFT. Being content with the previous year and finally getting out of the basement is the quick way to go right back down.

How about an offense that isnt among the worst in the league in many categories and the worst among play off teams?

Nichols prove he could win, but with a crazy amount of turn overs and a record number of field goals. Also with a great OL and running game. Any qb projected to be the no1 starter going into the regular season in the cfl right now could win with that. That was the original point you couldnt understand. Of that sub elite tier of qbs mostly you are hoping they can stay healthy. With nichols you have to also hope it isnt mid night in Cinderella land.

get that man a snickers. what i get from this is we need to either kidnap buono and make him work for the blue, or sell the farm for who ever he has in the wings that he likes... cmon wally tell us whose next! you can have westerman, our first, and some prime real estate in falcon lake... I think its gonna come down to the wire at this point. I like what davis did in the pre season game more. He should know our system better. But fever has the experience. Its nice for once to have a battle of QBs that isnt who is less feeble.
