  1. Idk. I think you can hide a guard pretty easy with a good ol. I also think guard and rb have a lot in common. While OL are much higher demand, Guard is easily the lowest demand and easiest to fill OL spot. Both over achieve their position by a considerable margin. I do think a G is worth more than a RB, and I think those are maybe the 2 guys in the league you should be happiest to over pay.
  2. If youre going to over pay some one, and if they aren't a qb, let it be a young starting NI. IF all the reported numbers are correct, is bradys deal better than desjarlais? 256k last year. Both very young, top of their position NIs. Desjarlais was universally panned here and league wide. But if your biggest over pay is a young NI starter you are in decent shape. Better than giving out 300k to a new wr every year. Or the buckets of money dropped on MBT.
  3. Every league, every level has RB valued very low because of the ability to plug and play another guy at all times. I think you are under rating the value that the game plan, and blockers have had on our success. You plug in Brown, or really most of the other top 10 backs in the league you don't see a dip in rushing yards. You might not have the ability to grind out the clock, or block, or pass catch etc. But the rb talent pool is what it is.
  4. As much as it might be that, I think it is atleast equal concern over picking brady vs schoen, and both vs free agents. It's an off season deep with unknowns, which around here is a strange thing we aren't used to any more.
  5. They drive the field all the way down to the bus and ride off laughing. He could take a 100k hair cut and still be making a ton while making this easier for the team. Didn’t he do this one before too? Given the amount of tax loop restructuring deals for high dollar Americans this off season it’s very possibly.
  6. I don’t think we will ever get a real clear picture of the salary cap either. Too much dirty laundry. It’s bad enough we see soo many guys cut over bonuses due in the off season. The actual unabridged numbers would cause riots.
  7. Who would you rather replace, Dalton or Brady? Who is easier to replace? We’ve got a lot of holes on D, mean while we have a ton of money in our top 5 on off. No one wanted to lose Brady or dalton. But even more so no one wants to see us in a position where we keep getting worse on the field and have less and less room to improve the situation. We will see in the next couple weeks how that all shakes down. It doesn’t require insider information to talk about the market for RBs. And other teams offers aren’t really important. If he turned down more cash that’s cool for him staying but doesn’t change any thing. If we offered a ton more than any one else that sucks but he likely wasn’t signing off a lot less.
  8. Toronto getting picked clean in fa makes me happy.
  9. True. But honestly it doesn’t matter if it is 50k cheaper, it’s still way too much. Accuracy doesn’t matter when it’s ludicrous either way
  10. That might be money with bonuses, and it’s farhan it might just be wrong. But I’m preparing for that to be the deal hoping for the best preparing for the worst.
  11. I don’t put much stock in any thing farhan says. Seems higher than I’d expect. Will wait and see the hard/soft numbers eventually. I hope with Brady back that we commit to splitting Carries and use him wisely. Use a di change of pace back for 7/8 touches a game and don’t have 90% of our runs in the first 6 minutes and last 10.
  12. Unexpected at this point. Look forward to seeing the numbers. Worried schoen is gone, hope we invest in dl/secondary
  13. Riders get jameer Thurman, for 40k ish more than he made last year lol. Must be the mace effect
  14. Yeah too long. I’d love it if we also look at a beefy imp power back or two. Run rb by committee would guy or two who can return and pass catch and a guy who can punish defences block etc. grant is such a beast. I’ve always wanted to see the bench be a body weight bench for each guy as well. Be damn hard to find a 300lbs lineman who is as proportionally strong. That’d be like a 380+ bench reppped 22 times for one of our ol.
  15. I believe it. Grant is rb prototype clearly of the small play maker we want. Yeah love it. Guys like this could shred defences and flip field position with one touch. We’ve missed that for a long time. Can’t just be to compete for the kr job, not three guys.
  16. To put that into perspective, tyreek hill had a 4.06 ss, all time nfl best ss times range from high 3.7x to mid 3.8x. That’s like running a sub 4.2 40. His 3 cone is elite all his numbers in that pro day are exceptional. 10’3 broad, 37 vert 15 reps is really impressive at his size. It’s rare to find football players with that kind of speed/quickness and that kind of pound for pound strength. 15 reps of 225 for a guy whose 190 is fantastic. That’s as good as a dl putting up high 30s imo
  17. 100%. I got a guy I’ll pay for the ink lol.
  18. We need to figure out the best one and send him to camp in fatigues.
  19. I def want bolo back. He’s ready to take a big step forward imo. Re invest in the D with some young blood and the team this year can be better than last years squad.
  20. Imagine the offence with strevy playing read option to a dangerous kr rb with lawler Demski woli Bailey and rook imp wr.
  21. Watch as both tear up camp and get cut for gmc LOL. I really want to see a dangerous imp rb get a decent number of Carries for us on a regular basis. I’m ok if we lose one or even both tbh. As long as we use that money to add on D. If we lose both and just use that money to give raises to old guys I’m going to lose my mind.
  22. I would’ve died of hilarity. Right? Low key dbs in the cfl get rb treatment.
  23. Dobson played a small handful of right tackle. EIi is a true centre through and through. As such he would slide to guard very easily. When he comes into our heavy set he comes in at guard and our T was essentially a te.
  24. Looks like a well rounded dynamic threat. Running, catching, returning. Pro day had some great numbers including a 4.4 40, 10’ broad jump 37” vert 15 reps. Great quickness and agility numbers too. Stood 5’8 195. I love the north south running. All he needs is an angle and he isn’t trying to Keith stokes it. Hits the hole really fast. Very smooth acceleration with a nice top gear. Flashes some good hands, and I love the physicality too. Very grant Esq is being small but deceptively strong. Don’t expect a guy like that to bounce off people or push the pile but he takes people by surprise. I love this as a returner, back or gmc multi threat guy. Great camp prospect. Real blue chip prospect as a rb and kr. Bet he was on our nl for a while.
