  1. Bcs front made good adjustments for the run but gave up any chance of pressure.
  2. To be fair if you watch it again you could drive a truck through that hole and he wasn't touched in the first 10 plus yards. Did look fast though. They are. But at this point augustine and Brady both need regular reps to improve technically as backs. Both guys should get 10 ish carries a game till the play offs.
  3. He sure did. On cjob he talked about how he spent the off year working on speed and getting faster and quicker and playing quicker. It sure seems to have paid off. With Harris out for probably the next game at least I'd love to see a fairly close split in carries between the two. Especially some 2 back stuff we've talked about for years. Fake a dive to Brady then power toss go Augustine. Soo much that we could do with both.
  4. Or augustines 55 yard run the whole secondary and kongbo sprinting down field behind him on the side line waving towels and cheering.
  5. They were totally OK with it going into the ldc. When they had convinced them self Fajardo was a MOP candidate and that they were destined host the wf Soo true. Watching the highlight of Augustines 55 yarder you just see the bc front destroyed as he hits the hole. I think it was Couture who was looking for a lion to lay out and no one wanted any part of it. This team sets the physical tone in every aspect and dials it up to 11 as soon as we kick off. From augustine with a smashing on teams to Bailey laying a guy out on a block in the first drive to ba passing out crocodile arms to every wr. This team plays much harder than other teams are comfortable with. Even grants td run. He didn't have a seam he made a seam.
  6. At this point I think it's a matter of time till the mafia have statues and names up on the ring. IIRC he's already 2nd most for coaching wins.
  7. Sayles is a tremendous player and athlete. But at this point, nichols is as good a player at worst, (not as good an athlete) and dramatically cheaper. That type of change is how great teams become dynasties. Knowing you are letting go a good player but that you have the ability to replace them with a good player who is cheaper.
  8. Other teams got 3 or 4 games vs ottawa. We got 0. Other teams started out with like 5 home games in a row, we had a balanced home away schedule. Other teams didnt have to play 4 home n home back to backs, and other teams didnt have to replay every team save twice, with in 2 weeks. Every time we beat a team we'd have to turn around and play them again the next week or the following week. That is stupid hard in football. The schedule sucks. Badly. But it sucks soo bad its fairly balanced. Also, toronto did fine in their short week 3 game stint. That week took them from one of the bottom teams in the east to the top team. Adversity is an opportunity to be great. Losers try to blame other teams lack of adversity for their success.
  9. Watching him lay motionless in the background of the play was horrible. It took forever for the booth to mention it too. If he had been an offensive player that would've been called for spearing.
  10. Idk who their guy is. Usually it's a speedy guy who converted from qb in college or a Canadian guy. It is awful. Especially given the nature of our game. The NFL is much more of a pocket passer league with the extra down meaning throw aways can be used to save qbs butts. The 2 qb roster doesn't work here. We've seen it a couple times this year already. They can but then they lose a critical di. No one is gonna do that.
  11. Our defense has scored as many tds on other teams passes as they have against us all year. No secondary in the forward pass era has done that through 11 games. Those green guys are funny in the head.
  12. Probably money savings. Getting a decent us project qb to come up still costs a decent penny. I don't see any reason go not have 2 imp qbs and 1 Ni slot on the active roster. Maybe give teams the ability to opt out due to injury but make it a bonus roster spot. Maybe they don't want 3rd stringers covering kicks like Bennett was for us. But they could put rules in for that too.
  13. If I was him I'd a handed off every single play. Maybe put in Rainey and run wild cat or some jazz. You aren't gonna win and you're probably still a play off team. Don't risk Reilly. If I was Reilly I'd be looking for a new team or new management that can build an ol.
  14. The whole d will be. I don't see any threat from blm or Fajardo vs this d. Or Reilly. They got no chance.
  15. Harris had a lot of tough runs this year too. Teams are playing the tight zone inside zone run differently than in 19. We need go see more creative runs regularly. We see flashes called once or so a game late. Buck might be holding that back for the post season though. Bradys vision and patience has been great in the two partial games. Simple nature of the game is that some times run plays will get blown up in the back field and some times the d will get every gap. Brady is 100 percent an every down starting rb in the cfl right now. Augustine might be too though in 19 his blocking was lacking.
  16. Boy Calgary really made a game of that late but honestly the 3 teams under the Bombers are dead even imo. In fact they are neck and neck with the 3 teams in the east. Any of those teams could host and or win a semi final. But at this point despite being close I don't see those being great games. A lot of sloppy football and big roster holes.
  17. Brady played well he had all the hard runs of the night. Game was over when Augustine came in. He gashes a huge gain and looked good but at that point bc wasn't canceling gaps any more. Brady still got 4 yards per Carry despite the hard runs. If we had mixed augustine in early and some more cut back and out side runs we could force them out of their gaps and they could open each other's game up. Collaros ability to break the pocket beat the rush then hit an open man is a game changer. He beats a good 3 or 4 pressures every game and picks up a first down oh most and atleast one big gain every single game. He's the complete package just soo damned good.
  18. The Bombers ol and those wrs wouldn't make Fajardo able to throw an accurate deep ball either. I could see Duke getting into it with Fajardo this year if he keeps tossing ducks and bricks deep.
  19. Still bad just not soo bad. Lol People are also ignoring the amount of guys who have played through injury. Wj and jj have been banged up most of the year. Nick Taylor woli demski all banged up most of their games. Harris hasn't been 100 percent either. It's a mercy to the rest of the league. If we had a full pre season and this team was 100 percent healthy they'd be shutting out every one while hanging 40 plus points up.
  20. Nothing worse than a bad loser First time in 51 years the Lions have been shut out
  21. and our run game + depth. Both lines are gonna punish some poor sap of a team.
  22. 1 Collaros. He was on fire maybe threw 1 bad pass and it wasnt that bad. 2 Dline. 10 tackles, 4 sacks, 1 pick 6 couple tips and a pkd. Pressures and hits on reilly all night. 3 Grant 3 huge returns 1 for a td. hh Willys TD. BA times the blitz perfectly, blows reilly to pieces who tosses a duck, willy tips it one handed and runs for the score. While also trying to give the ball to BA for the td. block of the game bailey had a big block on the augustine huge run. hit of the game Johny augustine on teams with a monster lick on rainey. Augustine had a monster game, clearly we need to be rotating our backs frequently. stove just loves playing vs bc ol. Darvin had his best game of the year. Looked a little slow but still made 2 big plays. Lawler with 2 catches for 2 tds. Mos, the lions push and shove after our snap and kneel so we pound the ball on the next play. legs had a couple nice punts, and the secondary played great.
  23. bc pushes and shoves, the bombers run it down their throat. I love it.
