We’ve seen guys win stuff like that and all star etc and go in signed the next year. That’s a popularity contest nothing more or less.

Yep. The plan clearly seems Richmond at lt gray at rt. But Bryant might our last Richmond at This rate lol. We are very fortune to have Costello coaching the ol. But it’s crazy to me that bob Wylie is in the xfl.

CFL - 2023 Regular Season - Discussion Thread
wbbfan replied to JCon's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
33 isn’t young for an ol especially for an imp ol in the cfl. 113 starts in 8 years is a great career. To expect 10+ years out of an ol body is crazy. Some guys hold up like that but very few. I love yoshi and I hope he has lots of football left in him. He really needs to be a coach / community ambassador after he retires. Idk he really didn’t take to being a guard here early In his career or with bc. He might not be a guy to play inside. Or we put Habba on the pr when he’s back so we can keep an imp fb on the roster and ott claims him. Lol Tbh a lot of teams get good pressure with 30 front in the cfl. It’s seldom enough used that ols don’t seem to manage it well. -
He’s like if you had an athletic d1 imp version of Sheridan. He and Eli are real nasty pieces of work too. Some thing we’ve missed since desjarlais left.

Bigger dbs these days yeah. Darby is 206 des Lawrence is 6’0 202 Karamoko is 6’2 213. Every team has a couple dbs like that now. Lots of guys filling that moncrief type role, who as the Sam for the riders is bigger than our wils. 6’ 200 will probably the about the average size of the elks dbs tonight.

Any thing that involves pro football quality players on the roster would make me happy.

Couture was hurt in 21. speller moved to C for the play offs he was at G before that. We also used to use Eli at C and guard on the heavy set and kick the smaller inside guys out side. Speller was a good one. Went to Toronto and disappeared after I think. Injuries maybe?
-
Wil is more of a strong saftey position these days in the cfl. Clements is 216 Cole is 207 kyrie is 215 Briggs is 211. More and more teams are going to bigger sams and smaller wils to the point where soon you won’t see much of a physical difference.
-
Eli started 4 or 5 games at C in 2021 when couture was hurt.
-
It’s all coming together finally!
-
The entire inside of the ol. Neuf has been toasted. Gray too. Gray should be the 6th ol in the heavy set. He’s great on that edge. Dobson, Eli etc aren’t good at that. Eli in at C is the big win we need. His first touch goes for a td. Bell time!
-
Boo share the drama! Lool
-
Don’t think he’d stay on if he was. that’s a good start. Now get Eli in at C are we are talking.
-
I’m confident we will win and handily out play the elk. It’s all about keeping Zach healthy. And some other guys.
-
He might. But I can’t imagine he would out play Cole. Or that he would out play better ratio balance.
-
As long as Zach stays healthy. That’s the biggest L possible.
-
I think it’s not about us being able to sign guys. I think it’s the pr crammed with dead weight. We keep bringing in super high up side guys and they are gone as fast as they came. No commitment to developing guys.
-
Because our roster management is about as good as discipline is on a Craig Dickinson team. It’s hard to evaluate the source of the issue. But I think a lot more people will have eyes on ba for a bit.
