The spots are horrible in the cfl. I very seldom see a good spot in any game. It’s worse than strike zones in mlb. Makes me soo mad when a back judge runs in and spots the ball despite being a mile away and over ruling two guys who were closer.

Sitting grant is a good idea. Man idk about gmc returning. He’s got the tool set but I don’t know if he has the intangibles. Starting Hansen would be good. yeah we will know clearly from the roster. If Schmekel is back on or starting it’s bad news lol

I think having a cap isn’t a bad thing. But it’s too damn tight, and no way should it be multi year guaranteed when player contracts aren’t. It also shouldn’t be more tied to league income than the player cap. Maybe scouts shouldn’t be in it either. The more scouts teams have the better off the league is.

Ideally every post clinch game should be treated like a final pre season game. Get vets some concentrated well designed play. Maybe a half maybe the first drive of the second half too. And importantly get a real good look at some depth guys and pr to see if any one can be of greater use in the important games. I might sit walker one of those games and start fox. I’d probably start gmc at rb in the last game. I’d ask get Richmond in the last game with a start and put in Dobson and Eli gray at the other tackle. Put in garbutt and Habba start. I’d start des Lawrence in the last game too that way we can see if he’s healthy / worked through his issues from earlier this year. I’d also start clements and Cole in place of biggie and kyrie.

I really didn’t expect bc to get its ass handed to them by Calgary and to render this a meaningless game. This is still a home game with a week to go, so I expect to see starters till the game is either in hand or well out. Unless guys are getting banged up or at risk of it.

Ever since jones left they’ve had to settle for scraps and have been rejected by most every note worthy co in the league once, twice or three times. That alone tells you what oday has done. Idk how the have all survived the turn down in quality and attendance not to mention failure to compete in their gc host year. might be some thing to the being hand cuffed by the management cap. I don’t think it ends with that either. We haven’t signed a good player from with in the cfl in a while that didn’t play with us. We used to pick up un appreciated or under valued guys from other teams. I know, however it becomes problematic if more than one guy goes down, and we lack guys to fill a woli role. The top end depth of our wr core will keep us flush. But we are losing a lot of versatility and fit.

Agree. Either we gotta double motion which is fine, takes guys out of cover and clears up passing lanes for Zach. Or we play Demski like schoen and gmc like Demski but I don’t like that drop off. I like bolo, I wonder about starting him though in this case. seems like an odd fit and leaves us with no back up ni wr. Guessing he will rotate a lot. hate the secondary. No back up cover guy. It’s a huge risk. I imagine if any one gets hurt again we will slide ba over to that spot and plug one of the nucks in at s. Hope we continue to see more of the 30 front.

It’s a big difference but lucky we have lawler Demski and Bailey to step up plus career year woli. His redundancy with Demski worries me. I’d rather see him used to run off deep defenders but we will see.

I want to say it was a shade under 20k, but it could well have gone up a little bit with improvements to infrastructure over that span. They didn’t get that money which is stupid, but they also played at a dirt cheap venue compared to us or the riders now paying off our portions of the new stadiums. They would go and sell out the old ex once a year too. They could’ve done that for a fist full of big games a year and made a ton more cash. As good as the roster management was for them back then the franchise management did stink.
