  1. You gotta get to sask bud, Those games are a riot. I enjoy montreal a lot too even though the stadium isnt great.
  2. Do you think we win/contend if we made the following changes? We started 9 canadians, if we take thomas off the ar and lawson backs up adams/woods. Then you take lawson jr off for griffin. Kola (who had an absolutely brutal game not just blocking but snapping) off the ar vanterpool on at G eli at C. Nat imp wj, and dress either jenkins/jaworski for a pick em of imp lbers/dbs lets say ayers. With that line up the als aren’t getting gaps they can drive a truck through, or 5+ second pockets. We get solid consistent pressure instead, and when we got pressure on davis by play design we did much better on D. Imo, that line up doesn’t fall multiple majors behind in the first half. We win, and stand a very good chance vs hamilton. yes 5 snaps maybe. I had him making 2 big stops at the line on runs, but they ended up as gang tackles and credit went elsewhere. I know jones cleaned up one tackle i think kyrie the other. They got the stats (this happens a lot especially on the road)
  3. And too early, that’s a legit knock. Year to year I get it. I mean while i’m well past ready to move on from zach, who do you get this year that you can improve on zachs upside? I don’t see much opportunity. Also, I do get the free agency approach. We had more gaps than we could fill and couldn’t afford top tier replacements so we tried to go with volume. It was a sound approach imo, but when the cap went up we should’ve swung for the fences. As ugly as our wr core was to end it, i don’t think lawler is the difference for us.
  4. on walters, I think we had a great draft and we had several key rookie imps. Allen, woodbey, vaval, plus the peterson trade, the rookie des in the last game, bailey, etc. We also did very well in the draft, and 180’d our teams in all facets from one year to the next because of it. We busted bad in free agency and resigning period. Then you have the X factor of guys like vanterpool, who as a guard was our best ol and at worst average as a starting T. We also cycled in some pretty good improvements in the secondary. The big problem is the decisions of when we replace guys. Why did it take soo damn long to get guys like woodbey and allen in? That’s not on walters. Walters needs to be better, especially in free agency. Also, in being the boss of football ops. Not his coaches lakey. But it doesn’t matter who we bring in if we don’t play them. Or if we run them into the ground while they are hurt like with strev, zach, and schoen.
  5. That’s right montreal, thanks for digging it up. He talked about it a bit this summer too after the hamilton interview, before ted got it. I think it was the youtube show for the bombers he talked about it in more depth. We have some solid agms, but I don’t think the rest are even fringe candidates on a good team today. Danny is it, and that would be pretty sub optimal. I think that only happens if walter’s takes another job but mos is retained.
  6. best case imo, is Dinwiddie as hc and co gm, with Archambault or laverne as gm/senior director of player personnel. If you get that, I think you get them coming in to work with jy, Costello and DC. Out side of that, you let them run who they want. If they want some of our current guys that’s fine. If they clean house, that’s fine too. yeah, what im saying is he hasn’t been willing to do that before. which is why he’s interviewed for only one job, twice over his years here. He’s liked his gig. But from what he said, he was willing to change that for the hamilton job, and would change it if needed here.
  7. Danny mac has only interviewed for 1 or 2 gm jobs. Because of his limited part time up north status. but out of last years interview for the hamilton job he’s supposed to be willing to come up full time for a job and be more open to it than in the past. Previously he’s been very happy to work out of his home and in his region, which i can’t blame him for.
  8. unfortunately, I think these changes will only happen if it’s reactionary. If one decides to leave for another job we will make change. Otherwise I could all too easily see us running it back with walters mos and zach. I do think it could be possible that they fix their problems together. but boy would I not bet a year on it. We will know this off season though. if we see them stay and bring back the usual suspects of wj, jake, kyrie, kola etc, it’s hopeless. last year was soft af too
  9. he knows as well as any one in the league how to manage the off the field production. On field? man idk if he does know, or if he has the will to fire his buddies. That can’t be known unless he does it imo. At this point, only time will tell.
  10. he’s heading up a spring league now so we are safe.. for now
  11. I’m saying danny is the only internal option, not the preferred one. The only one who isn’t an assistant to another young guy. he's king of bad hot takes, also actually look at the talent levels in camp, and our bench. Imp talent is not the problem here, it’s the log jam of trash we handicap our self by starting and playing in our primary reps. Take a look at the players who’ve come to us from his region.
  12. Gm, I’d see if danny wants it. From outside, i’d see if desjardins, and or lavergne want to leave montreal for a promotion they will never see being below macioca. other wise I think it’s a guy like brock in house or similar level choices. Idk if brendan mahoney would want to leave calgary either, but he’s also hard stuck for promotions. You could also go to a guy like dinwiddie and offer him both jobs. If he gets along well with the other senior scout/ast gms that would work. You could also make this kind of offer with archambault. With him I think you pair a coach he can work with to be more on field involved or go the other way with him as a hc and a guy like brock plugging him into the front office. The other hc candidates you’d expect some ingest in/from would be guys like mueller, thorpe, mosoon, campbell etc. I think young guys in hybrid roles between coaching and front office are the best way to go with the restrictive coaching cap. Supported by Agms/ ast hcs
  13. or, that the BOG will step in. Idk if either will this year. If they run it back though, 1/3-1/2 season of rope for every one. after that it’s clean house from up top. but that is way to late
  14. that’s been the biggest fear for several of us on here for a few years. We’ve watched this contemptuous back slide into mediocrity and scream no don’t! while being told it’s all fine. Only for exactly what was predicted to transpire. The 22 forward bombers are the most frustrating sporting team i’ve followed since reinbolds days. Hubristic contempt that has driven a dynasty into the ******* ground. true. all i saw was him running across the field to shake mos’ hand and mos being half way to the tunnel being shocked by it
  15. good point, Idk. Personally i would want to use the platform as a launching pad for the changes and show the fans that the team will be dedicated to returning to a better level of quality immediately.
  16. from what they made public of his deal, with out another year to put cash off into Idk how they do that. maybe no sell outs or only bjb with out significant change. with out meaningful change I won’t put a dollar into the bombers org next year.
  17. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out he’s an ai bot, a cheap one at that
  18. If a big change at the top level doesn’t happen in december at the latest, 2026 is gonna be brutal in bomber land. The chances of that coming to pass, is way higher than I like.
  19. 1 mos, the handicapped roster killed us 2 walters for not putting on his big boy pants and fighting the ship 3 kola, ole! crappy honker wj finally makes a play today and facemasks to go from a huge loss into a huge gain for montreal block of the game not many good blocks to pick but the illegal pass to wallace was funny crunch of the game, zach going full fajardo on the up right dishonorable mentions, jake, kyrie, jones, secondary, ol, and dl. Honorable mentions, good enough zach showed up today, brady, wr core over performed for being under talented.
  20. academic now This game shows it isn’t entirely talent that’s the issue. coaching roster management and a few guys on the field who shouldn’t be in the league
  21. houston shouldn’t have had the outside gap either, some one messed up the second level
  22. to be fair, the D was hung out to dry in the first half. now they’re gassed. some serious personnel issues though on d
  23. 57 seconds left suddenly
  24. pathetic tackling and run fit play
  25. jones and kyrie clowned again
