  1. a few things worked for me in JL like the history between the ppl of earth vs steppenwolf, other things didn't work for me like the CGI of Cyborg. gotta say I was less then impressed with the few scenes in Atlantis so I have little to no hope for the Aquaman movie being very good visually
  2. Jordan reminds me a lot of Sheldon Benjamin when he first came about. I don't think he'd make a good heel either as he always has that dopey grin that just kills whatever attitude he's trying to portray
  3. That trailer looks alright, but I have such low expectations of it. Looks like one of those movies you can turn your brain off for a few hours and just watch a lot of anarchy. I'm surprised they made this movie amidst movies like Kong, Pacific Rim 2, Godzilla..etc coming out recently and upcoming. If there was a time for this movie I'd have said 10 years ago, but now it'll likely get lost and forgotten pretty quickly
  4. After watching Thor Ragnarok 2 weeks ago it really dawned on me that Marvel's success heavily revolves around its infusion of comedy into the movies. If you took that out or at least the better delivery of it than DC does for the most part, I think both Marvel and DC would be pretty even keel. I will admit that Marvel movies seem to have a better flow to them, but I do think getting a good joke in and there every 15-20 mins alleviates some of the boredom a superhero movie trying to take itself too seriously inevitably causes. I think DC tries once in awhile to add some humor but it's bland in comparison to the way Marvel executes their jokes
  5. The games been sold out for a while so I don't think the event organizers really care who plays. It should be pretty full and with super milf Shania doing half time should get enough eyes on the game to deem it a success in the end
  6. Gotta say releasing James Ellsworth is way too long overdue. Can't think of a worse all around character in recent memory. I know there's been some duds in the past but I gotta think some of the bookers in the back have like a running joke/bet they can get any loser over ... iirc he was in one of the title picture initially when he came to SD, or was trying to have a feud with John Cena
  7. Not a trailer but still fun to watch... can't wait for the 2nd movie
  8. I dunno if I'd put him as my all time fav Jay but Doc was certainly a staple of the team I came to call my own in the 2000's (the 90's jays was more my grandmas team and I was along for the ride). He was an amazing pitcher to watch and so very clutch on what was otherwise some pretty meek Jays teams. This was one was a shocker for sure when i heard it on 1290 an hour after it was reported. So very young, likely was set for life and gone too soon RIP Roy
  9. well at the time Westerman was 6-gamed, Osh said they were hopeful he would be back for the playoffs but not certain
  10. Heard on the radio this afternoon that due to the success of the IT remake they are planning on remaking Pet Sematary as well. The big question was who would you want to play Jud Crandall (Fred Gwynne), I was thinking Ron Perlman as he has a similar long face
  11. only caught a few games of the WS but they were phenomenal games, especially game 5. Guess I can strike the Astros name off "teams that never won" now. Me and my dad play this game once in a while in various sports when were on a long drive to go golfing or something; Remaining teams yet to win the WS are; AL: NL: TB Rays Washington Nationals* Seattle Mariners Milwaukee Brewers* Texas Rangers Colorado Rockies San Diego Padres * Washington won the WS as the Washington Senators, Milwaukee won as the Milwaukee Braves Interesting looking at the past winners, 3 different teams known as "Braves" have won the WS, The Boston Braves (1914), Milwaukee Braves (1957), Atlanta Braves (1995)
  12. with Nichols listed at #3 i wonder if he dresses, and if he does and were in a tight game going into say the 3rd or 4th if he comes off the bench to seal the deal and get us that home game?
  13. I don't think Hall is as bad as Etch but the bombers are pretty close to the bottom in all defensive categories (7th-8th roughly) other than interceptions (1st @ 22). I can only imagine how good we'd be if our D didn't play so much bend but don't break football. I wanna see a shut down and don't bend style personally.
  14. lol no i didn't it's right above that last paragraph, nichols 28 tds to 8 ints, reilly 30 tds to 13 ints. Nichols for sure has the better stats in that respect but it's hard to ignore the 1064 yards Reilly has on Nichols in just 15 more completions, that's an average of 70.9 yards per completion per pass in difference
  15. Nichols and Reilly have similar # except for 1 glaring difference, yards, reilly has about 1050 more yards then Nichols with only 15 more completions Nichols: GP: 17 411/579 for 4472 yards 28 TDs to 8 Ints Reilly: GP: 17 426/627 for 5536 yards 30 TDs to 13 Ints Would be interesting to see what kind of yards Nichols would have had with the same weapons as Reilly who can literally just chuck a ball down field and rely on guys like Zylstra, Walker or bowman to win the 50/50 at any given time. I don't see the same insurance/assurance in Adams, Dressler, Denmark or Lankford
  16. I think they might give Singleton DPOY and Harris MOC just to share the love
  17. i dunno have one person stay in the orbit craft and once everything is hunky dory with the lander, grab what you can and get back to the ship. Im sure a long enough chord could be hooked up to a little ridable probe that can be towed back to the orbiting ship too if there's concerns with a mars launch to get back. I'd get candidates that are prepared not to come back at all, but the plan should be a safe return. It only takes apparently 300 days to fly to mars so your looking at a 2-3 year expedition ultimately
  18. That's pretty crazy and unfortunate. probably cost a pretty penny to send, makes it but because signal gets lost it's deemed a failure. I would have sent a person or 2 along for the ride just to ensure maintenance is maintained
  19. "He's not even a has been.. he's a never was" I'd only look at Keanu Reeves if they decided to change the QB ratio cuz of Bridge and Buckley... Reeves looks like he's a few yards short of a first down at the best of times...
  20. Barker might be a reach as he's gotten up there in age and is still collecting paycheques. Taman on the other hand might see it as an opportunity to work his way back up. The same line of thinking would be we don't hire lapo because he's a former HC and will butt heads with Osh, sometimes people need the wake up calls to straighten themselves out. The guy your talking about with the Jets is Drew Morris, and there is a good chance he'd come back to the bombers as he has a working relationship with Walters even now. Only problem is, I believe he does the canadian scouting for the Jets so he might not have all the connections and whatnot down south if he spends most of his time looking over the CFL and CIS
  21. given our needs I propose the following signings; Burt "Paul Crewe" Reynolds - QB Jamie "Willie Beamen" Foxx - QB 2 Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson - LB Casper "Johnny Rico" Van Dien - WR We might go a little over the cap but the gate draw will have us selling out every game keeping us in the black!
  22. I could live with that if they are strictly scouts, Taman can find us receivers and Barker could find us a MLB. But isn't Barker still on the argos payroll?
  23. Anyone who scores 4 touchdowns in 1 game is surely too talented for the CFL, Bundy would be waiting for NFL offers long before he even considered coming up north. He does wear #33 tho guess if it was a toss up between Harris or Bundy... Touchdown Bundy it is!
  24. He was looking pretty old in The Expendables 3 but they seemed to make it a point of focus on his agility. I think they tried to sell him as an action hero earlier in his career (Desperado, Zorro) but there's no way he could compete with already established action stars and at a time those kind of movies were in a bit of a lull. Wasn't until around the mid 2000's action movies starred getting big again and it opened the door for guys like Jason Statham and The Rock more recently. Plus i think there's a bit of a bias towards people of different ethnicities. Personally I thought Desperado was a kick ass movie and should have blew the door open for him but he followed up with horrible **** like the 13th warrior where he played a persian warrior then a ton of kids stuff like spy kids, shrek movies..etc whatever "action" promise he had at the time was totally flushed down the john
  25. The songs are pretty bad but man the commentating is hilarious *language warning*
