GM is responsible with his staff of scouts to bring in talent....not "final say"
as well....as it goes with all teams...The HC will parlay the type of player he wants...who he wants to retain, go after in FA etc..etc...and G.M and his team will accommodate that best they can...They not gonna bring in guys, or resign guys/not resign guys that go against what the HC wants or claims he needs..
This roster garbage and fail is all on Osh as he is the the guy who puts the roster together....and the only fail by Walter's is the blind trust and believing in what Osh was saying....He should have tied the can to him at end of last yr, or as this season unfolded and the issues that were responsible again for us listing badly and still sinking...canned him before labour day...That's Walter's fail...and to an extent Miller's too
Players were brought in...and cut...many showed real well in camp and in pre-season and above all had potential and upside...youth on their side...but Osh went another direction...kept garbage...aged out....poor talent and nobody experienced to back them up...making it worse
Could the guys released made a difference and been better....we can never know but very likely would have because they couldn't have been worse than a lot of what we retained....even guys who were kept, were better than a lot of the guys that Osh choose to play and align his beliefs in...

O'Shea for all his faults is not (entirely) stupid. He has to know that his track record for the past 3 seasons was damning and if he wasn't going to be fired this year,, given his personality, it would be next. There is a saying that if you are at the edge of a cliff, if is better to jump than be pushed- you have a better choice of where you land. 
I an and have been convinced for some time that O'Shea's time here was done as he had become a liability. I am waffling about Walters. If he was privately dissatisfied with O'Shea and was engaged in a lost-lose-lose power struggle with O'Shea, then perhaps, with O'Shea gone, he can right the ship. My gut says that was likely the case. Nonetheess, if he leaves, clearing the decks might not be a bad idea.

Osh was a nobody coach when hired...
You find a guy who has a brain and isnt limited in his capacity to use said brain..not a hard concept
I don't think G.M is an issue here and be fine with Walters back..but a definite line needs to be established as to who the boss is and we lost that deliniation several yrs ago and well the obvious result of that takes us to now

I agree 100%! I think Walters needs to really step it up if he wants to hang around. IMHO he failed badly in 2025. He lost a lot of talent due to free agency and did not replace the lost talent with anything of significant value.

Collaros and maybe the OC are assuming that he still has the arm strength and accuracy of 5 years ago. He doesn't, at least on a consistent basis.

Back breaking int right before the half (how many times have we seen that this year?) Followed up with the useless 3rd quarter... not a good look but been the way this team has rolled all season

Ok, I could suggest taking half an hour to watch the condensed game, with cooler heads
Most of the first half was not bad at all. They were using BO effectively & completing some intermediate passes. O was pretty similar to what it was 2 weeks ago
After the TD on 3 and 4...ZC started mostly chucking deep and the rest was all too predictable
 

I do. The day they're fired, I'll go to the liquor store & buy me Glenfiddich 12 year old single malt whiskey & crack it open to celebrate. Twelve seasons of this **** is more than enough. Both are old, tired & soft. Making questionable decisions. They're winning this season despite themselves because there's still enough veterans paying well enough to get the job done. I can see us finishig 9-9 or 10-8. However, another off season like the last where Walters does sweet piss all, Osh with his roster favouritism & just watch the Bombers fall off a cliff next season.

We won cuz Ottawa couldn't kick a 40 yard FG and Brown overthrew 2 receivers to Allen who was playing centre field. 

have to agree! Terrible play call last week. My problem is that we have  a bad OC coupled with a Bad QB and a substandard OL. So not too hopeful today.

Really hard to say. IMHO Bomber management should get an "F" this year. Recruiting was very poor. They failed to replace the talent that left for other pastures. Roster management has not been up to par. And I am not sold on the new OC as of yet. This team is very weak on both sides of the ball and there is no real talent pool left to fill the gap.
Total Management Failure  IMHO.

I hear you. I just retired in May and turned 80 in July so just enjoying the retirement and while I will always watch every Bomber game I can , and make sure I catch them here in Calgary and when they travel to Edmonton - if they lose I seem to be able to move on rather quickly these days. In the past I took the losses much harder than I do today - After all Life Does Go On! And given I am also a Chicago Bear Fan - I have much more to fret about!😁
