Does it make him more desirable to the NFL being a guy who just had a concussion. I did think about that angle but I dismissed it in my mind for this reason.

I wonder if its a case of not thinking they could beat Winnipeg with Dukes. If they had to pull Kelly for a concussion in a playoff game then it becomes a league doctors thing and likely he wouldn't have got clearance to play in the Grey Cup.

Not only that but an excuse for his performance. That's not leadership. If you're not pulling yourself out of the game for an injury you need to take responsibility for your performance.

Kelly is now saying he essentially played the whole game with a concussion. One that occurred early in the first half but he can't identify the hit or the play as to when it happened. If he's not just making excuses which would be well within his character you have to wonder if it was a case of him being too selfish to tell the medical staff and the coaches or if he told them and they put his health at risk by not putting him into concussion protocol and removing him from the game. I see three scenarios. 1. He's an excuse making wuss. 2. He's selfish and not a team player. 3. The team should be investigated for abuse of a player.

I agree 100%. He was a big part of the turnaround. Not because he was great but because he was an adequate quarterback playing for a team with a long history of lackluster to inept play from the position. And it certainly helped early on in his career for us that he delivered the ball quickly. That changed everything for us.

The guy was nothing special outside of the one season where he came into camp in terrific shape and actually had some mobility. That was the one year he threw for more than 4000 yards and more then 18 touchdowns. He threw 28. The other seasons he was simply an improvement over what we were used to and helped the team to be respectable. I’d take Kevin Glenn over Matt Nichols for sure. Even so I’m eternally greatfull for what he did for the team by helping to get us to the point where we were on the cusp of being great.

Once Matt Nichols suffered some injuries he was basically at Fjardo's level. Once he no longer had Winnipeg to make him look decent he couldn't stay in the league. And it wasn't age he's only a year older than Zach. But at his best he was probably a little bit better than Fajardo.

If i could choose between one of Bighill and Scheon being healthy and the other not playing.. Personally, i would choose Scheon. I thought that Cole and Clements played quite well and im more concerned with Montreal's D than their O. If we are going to throw a pick lets throw one on a deep deep route. Its a low risk play. Its the 5 yard outs that turn into a pick 6. I don't think we need to play the game scared.

Looks like the center wasn't as badly injured as it looked in the game as he's not even listed on the injury report.

Montreal had 197 net offensive yards vs Toronto. Montreal is quarterbacked by a game manager and they are essentially a game manager team. In most cases they lose to good teams and beat all mediocre to bad teams. Winnipeg needs to avoid beating themselves and they will win this game.

Sounds like Kyle Walter will be back at least for next season based on Mike O'Shea's comments. Clearly, the rift narrative is crumbling. It will be interesting to see what kind of a term the contract has and if Mike O'Shea will be elevated into a role above Kyle on the football Ops side of things. It's possible that with the football Ops cap around the league there simply wasn't a lucrative opportunity for Kyle elsewhere and he will come back on a 1 year deal and bide his time for an opening so he can be paid what he feels he deserves. There may be a specific job that he's waiting for such as an opening in Hamilton. Why would we think that Miller is going to leave? For me that would be a pretty scary situation.

Montreal was on a win streak and playing unbeatable defence the last time we played them. And look what happened. I really hope Scheon can play. I think they were stacking the box pretty hard in the second half.

With Tyrell not getting a practice roster spot with the Packers is it not a forgone conclusion he’s coming back here? I thought option year guys couldn’t latch of with a 2nd nfl team…

I believe our first loss last season also had a late game Brady Oliveira fumble. It was against Montreal. And our first game of the year this year when we almost fully collapsed there was an Oliveira fumble as well. Not trying to come down hard on him because he's a young player and he's a good one. But it just seems to be a reoccurring theme in some of our losses.

Is it me or do all our collapses or near collapses start with a Brady Olivera fumble.

Considering we aren't seemingly comfortable using Pigrome id like to bring back Prukop for this season. Pigrome they can continue to develop for next season and beyond. We need players we are comfortable using right now.

Any injury updates on Tui? My view of it is that while i would like to have seen a better pass rush from out D the real problem here was the play of our offensive line vs BC's dline. It looks like BC dedicated their offseason to identifying weaknesses in Winnipeg's team, scheming, and bringing in players who can exploit our weaknesses. We've been exposed. We will have to make adjustments in order to remain dominant.

A global kicker makes sense if they are in the same ballpark as Legghio due to the cap savings. Every little bit might add up to enough to help our our Dline right now.
