Nothing wrong with collecting draft picks. Should trade everyone they can that aren't in future plans and have expiring contracts. 

What should Chevy do or should he stand pat and not do a thing?
Is he going to add to try to make the playoffs or is he going to send some expiring/nonexpiring contracts elsewhere?
Trade Staf if we are still close to the playoffs and get what you can for him?
Get some help on the 3rd D pairing?
Trade Thorbs for whatever you can get for him?
Get some help for present/future for Helle in the net?
Does he try to talk Enstrom and/or Buff out of their NMC to send them to a contending team?
Should he move some forwards to do any of the above and which ones?
Does he find a buyer for Pavs? Postma/Chiarot/Stu?
If he makes a deal, does he use picks, picks/player(s) or just Player(s)? Does he include a Moose player in a deal?
 
I think if we are as close as we are right now, he doesn't deal anyone and might try to add a D man and a goalie for the playoff drive...
If we are out of it, Staf will go for whatever he can get but I think he will keep Thorbs unless he expresses a desire to go elsewhere. If someone offers him something fair for Postma/Chiarot/Stu, I think he would trade them. Not sure many teams would be willing to give up much for any of them though.

I have no idea why so many people are digging their heals in behind any of these goalies.  Arguing to the death over who is the least bad.
I'm still waiting for one of them to step up and show he is good.  Only one of those has done enough to still deserve some patience, and that is not considered an endorsement.

Morrissey's offence will come...give it time. He has been a points producer his whole hockey life. By the time Myers is back, it will be in time for the playoff run or another tanking. Chevy making a trade to shore up the 3rd pairing with someone substantial would be nice...not another Stu Chiarot Melchiori Postma though. Ville Pokka would be nice if he didn't give up a lot for him...if he doesn't turn out, he can always dance...

Does anyone think the Jets are going to offer Pavelec a contract?  No one has suggested or advocated that as far as I've seen, so how can anyone be suggesting Pavelec is an answer?  He's absolutely done as a Jet.  I'm pretty sure suggesting using a bailing bucket when the boat is sinking isn't the same thing as suggesting that a bailing bucket is the answer for a hole in the boat.
I've noticed a loud push back on the people who can't stop yelling "Pav sucks" no matter what happens in individual games.  We know Pavelec is a NHL backup at best.  We've also been watching the Jets for the last 5 years.  He came in and we got some wins when the guys we gave the job to couldn't.  Wins are the point of playing the games.  In some of those wins he even played well.  It's okay to admit that.  It doesn't make him desirable as anything other than a short term solution to the H's ineffective play.
Pavelec is the sump pump we've been forced to use right now.
I tend to stay away from the hockey side of the forum because "Pav's chitt" showing up 20 times in every thread isn't a discussion and the people who can't stop beating those drums don't make being here particularly pleasant.
While there are aspects of Enstrom's game that I really don't care for I'm not going to say trade Enstrom in every post because I'm rational.  Barring a very good deal the Jets would be worse off if they traded Enstrom, even if I don't care for his inability to throw a check or tie up a man in front or his hatred of taking shots because scoring goals is a very bad thing in Sweden but assists are the ultimate prize.
