  1. The Riders reportedly paid $1,500 less in guaranteed money for Judge than the Bombers did with Ekakitie. Wouldn't want to "set a precedent" or anything.
  2. They were actually 8-2 prior to losing Durant. And always gotta throw in a childish dig, eh. A good team can win even with mediocre QBing. The Riders' D in 2014 was still pretty formidable and on offense, the run game was very dominant.
  3. Uh, no. Durant's 2014 campaign was lousy even before it ended due to injury.
  4. And now it sounds like there could be some ruffled feathers in the Conservative Party based on how close the final votes were for Scheer and Bernier. Too bad the ballots were destroyed already. So much for a unified party.
  5. It'd be nice to see the team take the next and find ways to give the backups time to play in live games. We haven't seen the Bombers be on the good end of garbage time in ages.
  6. Nevermind. I was trying to say a championship can ease the pain of down years. You know, instead of winning nothing and still being a perennial loser.
  7. I just meant what he tweets is usually reactive, petty, and knee-jerkish. And worst of all, he contradicts what his team has said. On Jan. 31st, Spicer re-iterated it wasn't a travel ban, but Trump tweeted it was and is a ban. Not a good look. I agree on you regarding his angle, though. And he doesn't give a rip about his people.
  8. Trump's team should find a way to freeze his Twitter account. He's such an idiot.
  9. A small glimpse of hope...? 11-7 is a "mediocre" record...? Who here has said the Bombers are the best team in the west? The reality is the same for pretty much every team in the CFL: lose your starting QB and your chances of being successful decrease dramatically. I'll refrain from taking childish digs at your precious team, because then I'd be no better than you. You keep using your training camp to justify your homer bias. To suggest the Riders are better than last season despite having not even played a single game yet is hilarious. And then you follow it up by saying Glenn looks better than Durant. Comical. FTR: the Riders were the worst team in the CFL last year. And the year before. There is no debate on that.
  10. Because the Bombers prior to last season haven't suffered...? Last season was the Bombers first season over .500 in five years. At least the Riders have won a championship in that time.
  11. Rumour mill seems to indicate he and the Argos are negotiating but yeah, it's odd. Still baffled at the Als letting him go.
  12. House of Cards season V was great. Spacey and Wright are just spectacular.
  13. Agreed. They're just woefully inept, much in line with the party they represent.
  14. What else is there to the game besides winning a championship? If the 2007 or 2011 Bombers had won it all, I'd have been much more okay with the 2008, 2012 and 2013 seasons, respectively. Of course it's worth it. That's why they play the game: to win.
  15. Yeah, he did. He was the team's head coach when they won in 2013. That's not debatable.
  16. They were all lousy last night. You know you're off your game when the most noticeable thing you do is make fun of your opponent's breath. LOL
  17. Except Chamblin did deliver a good team, one that managed to win a championship on home field.
  18. And 2-0. Regardless of the final score, a win's a win. Not to mention winning in Regina on Labour Day Weekend for the first time in over a decade. Anyway, based on the result of that scrimmage, it sounds like the Riders have no defense.
  19. And it's funny to see fans in the rectangle province dump on Chamblin to this day for thinking too highly of himself, while in the same breath defending Jones for doing literally the same thing.
  20. It also sounds like LaFrance isn't 100% healthy and remains sidelined: http://leaderpost.com/sports/football/cfl/saskatchewan-roughriders/mcnuggets-labatte-battling-through-ankle-injuries
  21. Could be a sign LaFrance simply isn't starter calibre yet. Allen's got way more experience. If that's the case, it'll mean more ratio juggling for Jonestown.
  22. Harris #33 is never a bad choice. Loffler #16 would be my second choice.
