I dunno... Greenies seem like a wholly different breed compared to other CFL fanbases. Passionate is a great trait to have, but not when it journeys into irrationality. Chris Jones can do little to no wrong according to many in the rectangle province. Being a diehard doesn't have to mean being delusional. Joe Mack received a ton of criticism during his tenure here, and rightfully so. Of course it intensified after he was canned - that's the norm for most firings in sports. He was brought in to fix a franchise but didn't while refusing to admit his errors. It's not too different from Jonestown and that sort of attitude eventually wears thin, especially when the losses pile up and nothing improves.

Well, it seems like the only ones who do are washed up vets or trouble makers - and Jones is paying them handsomely. No draft picks have yet to sign but that's apparently not an issue... LOL The homer bias on that forum is bordering on the insane. That green Kool-Aid is heavily laced in Jonestown.

Could be. I've rarely seen him speak and he seems pretty knowledgeable in terms of American talent, but I'm no sure how ego plays into how he operates. I think Hufnagel knew how to maximize Murphy's talents and let him do his thing for the better of the Stampeders, an organization that never seems short on talent or depth. I have to think he learned a lot under Hufnagel, too. We do know Jones is an egomaniac of pretty epic proportions, so I have to think Murphy is just told to tow the company line. It seems like Jones wants to take credit for everything, which leads me to believe everyone else has to be a yesman.

The same John Murphy who went on to help Hufnagel in Calgary...? I'm not sure about that. When given the opportunity, he seems to succeed. I'd put more blame on Kelly and Jones, the GMs in charge - not an assistant whose forte is talent down south. I also have to wonder how much actual say Murphy is getting in Jonestown right now.
