  2. This. An entire online catalogue of every CFL game ever televised would be nothing short of epic.
  3. https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/coronavirus-what-s-happening-in-canada-and-around-the-world-on-thursday-1.5835527 * https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/cews-wage-subsidy-jobs-covid-1.5834790 Pretty ******* ridiculous. Yet another example of taxpayers' money making the rich richer.
  4. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/manitoba-covid19-public-health-order-update-1.5832699 A fitting way to cap off this shitty year. *sadface*
  5. https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/uk-vaccine-covid-pfizer-biontech-1.5832298 Pretty amazing.
  6. Indonesia is a SE Asian country that straddles the equator but added over 5K cases yesterday. Malaysia, another SE country, added another 1K cases. The Philippines, another SE Asian country, added over 1K cases. All three of those countries are warmer (and in closer proximity to the equator) than Taiwan. India, a South Asian country, is second in the world with over 9.7M cases, adding over 6K more yesterday. Brazil is near the equator and is 4th in the world with over 6.6M cases. Colombia literally straddles the equator and is 10th overall in cases with over 1.3M. Spain, Portugal, Greece, which are all part of the Mediterranean, have combined for well over 2M total cases. Italy is also a Mediterranean country and has had over 1.7M cases. Mexico just added another 6K cases yesterday. Despite its climate, it's one of the hardest hit countries. The three worst states in the US (CA, TX, FL) are all considered warmer climes but have accounted for over 3.5M of the US's total case count. Summer was pretty bad for the US, IIRC. It's almost like temperature, humidity, and places with "endless summer" have little do with the pandemic or its transmission when you look at the entire picture.
  7. This is just my two pennies but within one's own country, I'd say highly unlikely. Here in Canada, I think that would violate one's Mobility Rights as per the Charter. I'd expect similar instances in other developed/first world countries. Internationally is another story altogether, though. I think it'll be up to individual countries to determine what's required for travel, such as the MMR vaccine being required to enter certain European countries or yellow fever vaccination in certain African countries. In the case of COVID-19, I fully expect a number of countries to make vaccination a requirement for entry. Travel beyond one's borders is a privilege, IMO.
  8. Benny Johnson... He's like Great Value Tucker Carlson.
  9. I think it's based on the previous tournament's final rankings: https://www.iihf.com/en/events/2021/wm20/news/17373/groups-for-world-juniors-known
  10. Since when is it summer in Singapore, Taiwan, or Vietnam in early December? Or anywhere in the Northern Hemisphere, for that matter.
  11. Meanwhile, in BC: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/o-canada-singer-addresses-firing-by-vancouver-canucks-at-anti-mask-rally-1.5830309 Glad he got fired from such a prestigious job. Turns out he's just another covidiot jerk-off.
  12. Sorry... I had to. This thread needs some levity.
  13. His comments in that article are disgraceful. Nothing but whataboutism and deflection. Despite the fact Sloan is completely off base with the nonsensical misinformation he spews publicly; he's got that tinfoil hat strapped on tight. Answer the damned question. It's also a pretty bad look for the leader of the opposition to try and hold the current gov't in power accountable for its vaccine rollout plan while simultaneously giving a free pass* to his own party member to continue to cast doubt on those very vaccines and support reckless, ignorant, delusional anti-vaxxers and their misguided conspiracy theories. I didn't think anyone could be as spineless as Scheer but O'Toole has done a bang-up job towing that limp line since taking the torch. And the CPC wonders why it continues to poll so poorly across the country...? * IMO, saying nothing and/or doing nothing is consent to allow Sloan to continue his questionable behaviour.
  14. "(Ivan) Harton said if the plate is eventually removed, he hopes the person owns up to it if it was a mistake." A mistake...? No way the person who got this customized vanity plate did so mistakenly. Crazy how this plate even passed the approval process with MPI.
  15. Bruce Martin is a gem. He married one of my best friends back in 2012 (I was the best man) and he was just awesome throughout the entire thing. Never sanctimonious, never "pushy" with an agenda, as well as easygoing, openminded, and very down to earth. He truly epitomizes what it means to be Christian, IMO.
  16. https://www.cbc.ca/news/technology/un-fossil-fuel-production-1.5824858 Claim to commit to one thing but then do the opposite. And the fact coal is still used to produce energy in the 21st century is actually absurd.
  17. The Washington Times is a right-leaning news source with a pretty lousy track record of factual reporting. (https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/washington-times/)
  18. Even this seems like more than that bastard deserves.
  19. Which says a lot about the sad state of the CPC these days. And perhaps the political landscape as a whole here in Canada... Ugh. Also, Derek Sloan is a disgrace.
  20. This. It's almost as if the human race and thus civilization as a whole functions more efficiently when we put aside our differences and work together towards a common goal during a world-altering event. Cooperation and compassion can do wonders for us all. Here's hoping this sort of collective mindset can be applied to solving other important global issues in the 21st century.
  21. ...and a full diaper in his pants.
