I totally agree with you, @Mike. I would like to have both back, but I am afraid that is unlikely. Schoen, though, is still so very key to me. I would argue that he is more important than Lawler if we had to choose.

If that is the case, I wish we had kept Dru and let Collaros go. But I know that was never going to happen; just my wish. I love all ZC has done for the team, but with his age and salary, Brown may have been good for the long-term strength of the QB positions.

Did @bluto ever say that? Just curious. I think Brady is better but AJ is pretty darn good. Honestly, I don’t care who we would play if we made it but all I want is another GC championship! I agree that had ZC been more mobile that game we stood a better chance. I was sitting in the stadium watching him get sacked and holding on to the ball in the pocket way too long on occasion. It was so unlike him.

And the fact that we barely beat them with less than a full line up doesn’t concern you at all?

They had no reason to play us straight up with already having first place in the bag. And as I recall, the Bombers still only barely beat them. Listen, I am a lifelong die-hard Bomber fan of 51 years, and I want them to win the GC every year. But I am also not going to dismiss another quality team just because of that. I have had too many years of disappointment ingrained in my memory.

How have they shown fear? They are a very good team, and it will not be easy to beat them if the Bombers were to meet them in the GC. They beat us last year with a very inconsistent BMT for most of the game. I would argue had he not got hurt and Kelly had to come in, we would have likely won. Now, with Kelly in control and their excellent running back, receivers, and above-average defence, they will be the favourite. Of course, anything could happen in a one-game playoff.
