I thought that was Beauregard from CBC? It was Mike ... crazy incident, and he was a goalie in junior hockey ... One of the funniest moments in local sports TV I can recall was during the Moose playoff run in 09 when they had Shaw covering the Calder Cup Finals. They had Lawless and I think Munz calling the game and during the second intermission they were having a "panel discussion" with Beauregard back at the studio. Mike was speaking his mind, and they cut back to the rink, and Lawless goes on to say something like 'well, none of us really care what some pip squeak goalie from the valley has to say', and they cut back to the studio to see Mike just dumbfounded and speechless. Was truly public access TV gold! haha

Probably a lot of tickets in "freeze mode" for the clubs that qualified for the playoffs.... as teams get knocked out, those numbers will go back up, but I think they want to ensure there's tickets available from the respective clubs once they've clinched their GC spot. I could be totally wrong, but I think it works that way!

like Lawless just tweeted... I've been calling to get LaPo back on board for 2 years..... I'm sure he'd come back with the "off the record" understanding that O'Shea would be on a short leash, and he'd move to HC should the club stumble out of the gate next season. And if Walters/Miller think that would make O'Shea nervous about his job and create conflict.... well then O'Shea doesn't have the confidence to be a HC anyways... that's my opinion!

The only way we'd get Brady is if it was in a HC capacity.... we can't even get the right to talk to him if the move is lateral (OC to become OC). I believe it has to be a promotion in role to even be able to talk to a coach under contract...

worth noting that since Mike Kelly's departure, we've had a better record than his only ONCE. He was actually improving the team towards the end of the season, but had already written his destiny in his abrasiveness with the media. I honestly don't think he was a bad coach. His schemes were a little questionable at times, but he made adjustments. Something the current regime seems to be clueless about. I'm sure I stand alone... but bring back Mike Kelly for OC in 2016! haha

I'd say the same about Higgins... aside from the few games he was in play this year in Montreal, he's been away from the game for a while. Be it recycled experienced coaching, or testing the waters on new guys.... we've had no success. So it's pretty much a coin flip! I did hear a while back Mike Kelly wants to get back in the CFL. With O'Shea's 'no one talks to my co-ordinators' policy... maybe it could work!

I've wondered (and will almost certainly never find out for sure) how much of this design was from the original, which was Asper/Creswin's initial plan? Knowing the NDP wanted to rush this thing along surely didn't give the architect the time they needed to properly go through this whole design prior to construction start. if everything was happening on the fly, which it sounds like it was... blame is going to fall in all different areas deepening on the particular scope of work meeting spec. This will be tied up in the courts for years...

Benevides & Higgins... you would still need to ask permission to BC & MTL. Of course they'd say yes, but they still have contracts so it's part of the process. I like the idea of bringing back LaPo. I'm sure he'd be open to it too, knowing O'Shea will have a short leash, and no one from the Mack era that rushed him out there door is left!
