Ya I’m not sure why it takes so long to get rolling on the site. As a Rider fan I went through the same bull when I registered. Hang in there it should be working by tomorrow. 
I’m reading a lot of smack on here as I should. But if anyone thinks the Western final isn’t going to be anything but a knock down, smash mouth rocking football game. 

You are 100% correct Big Jay. All I meant is that Jones wasn’t wearing it in support of a Player that was just charged with DUI as some were thinking  
to add to your comment. The players insisted he continue to wear it because it brought good luck. That is until they were Molli Whopped in Winnipeg a couple weeks ago.

Just an FYI... the Neil Hughes shirt Jones is wearing and has been wearing all season is for a Regina player that played many years for the Green and white. 
Also it was GM\HC Chris Jones and President Chris Reynolds that made the call not only to bench Charleston Hughs but fine him the maximum. It all came down when the Riders received all of the information from the City Police. That takes time; No GM is going to make a benching call from what is reported by the media. 
There certainly was back lash from MADD which quite frankly there should be. Plus a local sports writer was pretty vocal. They too don’t realize that someone running a team has to wait for all the info, unlike those who can spend all day on the seriousness of the matter.
Sadly the League dosent have a policy regarding impaired driving. We can probably feel confident that Randy Ambrose will soon implement one. 

I hope the Western Semi final is between the Riders and the Bombers. So bring it on; Rider fans have been waiting since 2013 for a play off game in SK. 
JCon I would suggest most CFL fans are going to get enjoyment out of any team beating the Stamps. They have been the King of the regular season for well over a decade. It’s natural to want to see the top dog that’s been there a long time fall to those under them. Then in this case it helps not just the Bombers, it helps the Riders too. Of course SK needs to beat a hot streaking BC team!
I understand you not wanting any enjoyment of any kind going to Rider fans for a Bomber accomplishment. I get that. However I can kind of remember many years ago when Bomber fans were praying for a SK victory in order to put the Bombers into post season play.
Depending on the games this coming weekend. Believe it or not the rolls may be reversed and Bomber fans may in fact be looking for the Riders to help out the Bombers. A Riders Victory May be needed in order for the Bombers to get third place, heck maybe even 2nd place. If that is to take place, I’d be just fine with Bomber fans getting enjoyment out of a Rider Victory. My aging personality is kinda like old Red on Shawshank Redemption. Enjoyment should be felt by all.  
I lived on the West Coast for 7 years. 1998 - 2005.   If charged with Impared driving, a BC Lions player could remain silent on the issue. Then easily play through the whole ordeal. The Police there or in Toronto are not going to inform the league or the team about a DUI arrest. Simply because they don’t know that person is employed by a professional sports franchise. 
Last but not least. If the Riders don’t win their 3rd Grey Cup of this new Millenia. Then I would like to see the Bombers take it all and win their 1st of this Millenia.

I agree. The Riders may not be winning pretty. The facts are they are winning. I believe the only reason SK lost to the EE was simply because it was Collaros first game back. He was still in game 1 mode.

How can the Bombers beat the Riders at the Stadium referred to as the gem of the league by both TSN and the CFL front office. It was only a couple weeks ago when Willy Jefferson beat the Bombers offence almost single handily on Bombers soil. Right after beating the Bombers the week before. I’d be more concerned about SK embarrassing the Bombers at home one more time before any playoffs start.

I have no idea why the Riders' team I watched today couldn't beat Edmonton or B.C. quite handily.
Number one - they have a front 4 that gets after the QB. Reilly is clearly banged up for the Esks and B.C. has to start Jennings

I agree with your statement on the EE Defence. 
However Mike Reilly will keep his offence on the field far more than Johnny Manziel did. The trick is going to be shutting down Reilly’s explosive plays. The guy can step up and deliver that 40+ yard toss right into the hands of his receiver in full stride. No one has the arm strength to throw the ball like Reilly right now. Except maybe Streveler. So Richie no playing cover zero. Keep that safety in the middle to help out. Otherwise Reilly’s 50-50 bombs become more like 70-30. 
Got my PVR all set up for the game on Saturday. Work till 6PM but won’t miss a play. Tough to beat the Esks at Common Wealth. 
 

This took all of a few minutes to write. You called me a disrespected person and I don’t believe I am. As a competing Rider fan I am respectful in here.

One persons perspective can be so messed up when you compare it to facts. Even though they are now on a 4 game winning streak and sitting in 2nd place all by themselves.  You say that Sask sucks???? Yet SK hammered Calgary. Then they went into BC Place and beat the Lions. Both of which the Bombers could not do. Then  they won this back to back series. They are sitting at 7-4 with a game in hand this coming weekend. So with all that being said. I would suggest the reason why the Bombers are getting beat by SK and Ottawa is they are simply better. 

Rod... I’ve never said that. Not even once have I said anything about not being respected. I have spoken on how some people actually find hate towards their competitive team when it’s only a game and entertainment. 
Shucks, what I wrote above about a Welcome Matt is pillow fluff compared to what your fellow Bomber fans are saying about Matt Nichols over in the  Matt-Nichols BOO!!!!!! page here in Morning Big Blue. For a Rider fan talking on here I don’t believe I am hated or dissrespected. I’m tolerated as much as a Rider fan could be on here. I have never taken a personal swipe at anybody. I take a lot of jabs and when someone doesn’t understand my comments like right here. I try to take my time to explain myself.   In fact if you Click on my name and you will see that I have a very good score. Tracker has never had to tell me or even ask me politely to pull it back. In fact tracker found the humour in the comment that you seem to be offended by. I’m repeating myself but it’s just a light hearted joke.  I am always clean on here. If Collaros would have played like Matt did in the 1st half. I would expect to hear 10 times no a million times worse comments about Zack than my insignificant humorous jab.  
I do not dislike the Bombers in any way. I enjoy discussing football and the games in a respectful manner. I enjoy discussing football  with level headed fans as passionate as I am.  
Just an FYI. After every game in SK. It’s discussed who are the 3 stars on each side of the ball. Offence, Defence and Special teams. So the Bombers 3 stars are mentioned and I respect that. Then I suggested the Riders 3 stars. Nothing more than that. 
In Hockey they only pick 3 stars total from both teams. Then again Hockey has less than 50% of the amount of players. 
I hope we can be somewhat friends on here. I’m not out to attack or hurt anyone. You are more than welcome to ask me why a fan in my Province might think differently than the fans in Manitoba. I would answer that question with 100% honesty. Hope we can all lighten up and have fun.

Even a close loss will not cut it as acceptable in this one.

In similar situations in the last 3 years, dating back to the July 28, 2016 game, OShea's squad has shown that they rise up in situations such as this and get the critical win to keep from tanking.
Today will be the true test of the character of the current roster that Walters and OShea have selected and supported.

Ok it’s time to discuss the name of the rematch game coming this weekend. 
Troy Westwood so eloquently named the fans from SK who includes Troy’s Mom Banjo Picking Inbreds. At the time it was funny. What is beyond funny to the point of stupid is the name of the rematch in Winnipeg. Football Bowl games are named by that which happens for the home team. For example the Rose bowl takes place in Pasadena known for Roses. The Orange Bowl takes place in Miami. I could go on but I’m sure you get the picture. Think about it and then tell anyone why Winnipeg would call the rematch the Banjo Bowl? No doubt the idea was to continue with the smack talk name given to Rider fans. When in fact the name Banjo Bowl in Winnipeg makes it sound like Winnipeg is the Banjo picking capital. I lived in Vancouver for 7 years. The fans their do think that Winnipeg is the Banjo people  
On the other side in today’s so called politically correct world. Even names like Eskimos is being frowned upon. So banjo picking inbreds might be way over the line. 
2018 Labour Day Classic was very quite calm in disrespectful junk leading up to the game. Most of the focus was on the contest or the game itself. Far too many fans in the past have gone overboard and taken what is suppose to be entertainment and taken it personally. Leading to verbal threats and stupid acts of assault. 
With all this being said. It’s time to rename the Banjo Bowl to something more respectful for both the Manitoba and SK fans.

The Bombers has the better of the play????
Nichols... 14 of 26 for 166 yards
Collaros... 18 of 30 for 250 yards
Harris... 15 carries 158 yards. 95%  in the 1st half. Shut down 2nd half
Thigpen... 5 Carries 55 yards and a 35 yard TD catch. All in the 2nd half  
I’m going to say the Bombers have taken the wrong game plan approach the last 3 games. They come out firing and show everything they have in the 1st half. Because they lead at the half. They continue with the exact same game plan in the 2nd half  
Ottawa, Calgary and Regina all shut down the Bombers in the second half. Nichols had all of 60 yards passing in the 2nd half and Harris ran for maybe 20 yards. 
Harris ran for big yards in the first half because the Riders defensive line were doing a poor job playing their gaps. You could see immediately in the 2nd half when Harris made his 1st run the Riders had made half time adjustments and were all of a sudden gap sound. 
Anyone saying the Bombers has the better of the play against SK are living on the ground in the 1st half. As Harris was running solid and he won the ground battle in the 1st half. The Riders played decent in the 1st half but won in all 3 phases in the 2nd half and that’s why the won the game. 
I don’t expect to see a Riders defence not being gap sound next week. If the Bombers want to get a split. They better play 60 minutes. Instead of showing everything they have in the 1st half. 

Certainly any team is beatable this Season in the CFL. It wouldn’t shock me if Toronto beat Calgary after losing to Montreal. However I disagree with the statement Collaros is terrible. Last nights game was only the 4th game he has started in SK after game 1.5 concussion. He looks to be getting better each week where as Nichols looks to be slipping some what. 
The back to back Labour Day Classic. Will more than likely be split. The crowds will play a huge part for the home teams. 
Im going to try and start an agreement between Manitoba and SK to stop calling the rematch the Banjo Bowl. I lived in Vancouver for 7 years and the fans out there think it’s incredible that 2 Prairie teams agree to use that derogatory name. They honestly think Winnipeg fans are basically admitting to being mongoloids along with their Rival Rider fans. To me Winnipeg and SK are the CFL and really don’t need that negative publicity. We need to collectively just call the head to head series the back to back labour day series. ( or something like that)
