  1. Past hour
  2. The hack part was a step too far but how do you justify this "one of the greatest writers the CFL has ever known and a dyed-in-the-wool Bombers fan"? It's pretty hard to be an objective writer when one is a big fan and then throw in that he's also on the Bombers' payroll, at least that's my understanding?
  3. For sure. I love his nose for making plays, great instincts and motor.
  4. No one’s saying he isn’t great. But he’s basically retired and writing fluff pieces (of great quality to be fair) and has been in booster mode for years. Irving go into the same deal before he retired.
  5. Sad isn’t it. We’ve fallen to a qbing level below post injury Matt nichols. Arbuckle would be an upgrade for us. Hes had no running game and a worse ol yet still done more.
  6. What an incredibly ignorant thing to post about one of the greatest writers the CFL has ever known and a dyed-in-the-wool Bombers fan.... Jesus. Put some respect on the man's name.
  7. I’d argue Zach is more limited. If he isn’t connecting on bombs consistently, which has only happened once this year and 2-3 times in the last year and a half, he can’t run any offence. We see his yards per attempt plummet to the depths. Atleast strevy is capable of running designed fast tempo timing stuff. He just isn’t capable of improving if that first look isn’t good. Zach needs big guys who can dominate 50/50 tosses down field. Strevy can succeed with a wider variety of wr types. It’s a bad position though, we don’t have the pieces or the system to support either.
  8. Counter point it took nearly a full half for collaros to out pass janarion grant last game. Thenoffense is pretty ******* limited with both qbs.
  9. It’s a cyclical problem. We don’t recruit as well as during an all time run of talent, we ride too long with old guys soo we don’t develop the talent we do bring in, and the level of play devolves very quickly. You aren’t going to have a generational talent gap very often. But you should expect a top front office to find more turn key gems. IMO, we’ve seen some tremendous talent the last 3 camps at dt, lber, wr, rb, and db. We’ve also had 2 excellent drafts in a row. The job we’ve done in recognizing, and developing those guys while optimizing rosters is poor. The quality of job we’ve done at bringing in league vets at spots we don’t recruit well, and replacing top talent is also poor. I’ll note, the wr talent the last two years has been much worse in camp. Prior to that we had some very good wr groups.
  10. Zach and Streveler have both been bad but it's pretty clear the offense is even more limited with CS as he seems to have issues with reading a defense and can only execute 7 to 10 yard passes.
  11. I kinda get not pulling a qb in a game you’re winning, but I think that kind of ballsy move would send a perfect message to our locker room young and old. Perform, or be replaced. No exceptions. I would’ve pulled both strevy and zach in each guys last game. More than one for zach. I’m not giving up on strevy yet. But I’m not willing to bank a season on him either. At this point, you gotta make a hard decision. Is Wilson/Chase a future starter? If you’re not sure ditch one. See if any one is willing to trade a vet qb young or old. Strev needs to be pushed and so does zach. If not, open the bank and bring in some one who can step up quickly. UFL, nfl back up when the cuts hit etc.
  12. This is the nature of this regime… inexplicable stratagems coupled with intransigent inscrutability. It’s okay as long as ur winning but…
  13. I don’t know what to expect from a “healthy” ol at this point. We’ve had soo much turn over and it’s been soo long it’ll take forever for un healthy guys to get the rust off get their wind back and get back into a groove. Im encouraged by flashes from Randolph, Vanterpool, and Lofton. Lofton came back much better than I expected. At this point im hoping vanterpool gets healthy, goes back in at G, Lofton stays at LT, and rando at rt. My biggest hope for improvement is some how we see through Kola who suddenly can’t even snap reliably. Give me Eli or even Wallace at C. Let a unit like that play together for a month. Maybe Bryant is 100% for the stretch run that’d be great. I don’t want to see him run out at a fractional power. even at 100% he hasn’t been great this year. We are part way through the growing pains with guys like Wallace, Lofton, Randolph, and vanterpool. May as well see how far they can grow before the stretch run.
  14. Yeah...Tates a good journalist and guy..but he also has to spread the message from Osh and team...he won't be critical of anything...ever...not with any real conviction
  15. Yeah he should get 2 or 3 in a row for sure if anything to let ZC rest...he came into the rain game...then last night no real practice all week and a high-school level oc'd game and a div 2 quality recieving group...get a full week in this week...get some legit scheming..coaching...and talent around him...and see whats what...also gotta remember...hes barely 9 months removed from a complete knee rebuild...takes time to get the movement and running back
  16. And this is why you don’t trust a hack who’s “covers” the org he who plays his mortgage. Don’t get me wrong…Ed seems like a decent guy but he basically writes propaganda
  17. He's getting his chance now... if it keeps looking like that then sure try something else. Wasn't working with collaros, we give streveler some games see what happens.

  20. There are certain personalities who, when forced to take an action not chosen by then, will do what is forced on them but will do it in a fashion that sabotages any benefit. Then they can say "See? I did it and it didn't work just like I said". I see O'Shea as doing this passive/aggressive crap.
  21. Yeah. They both are terrible. But one is probably hurt and the other has gotten worse since he’s been back. I mean Zach was pulled last game. Streveler should have been last night. Pretty simple no. It’s not your guy vs their guy here. I mean. What the **** does collaros have to do with last night ?
  22. Disagree to an extent. Talent in its prime can compensate for inept coaching and roster management for a time but inevitably you see what we saw for the past 2+ seasons. We yahoos in this forum saw it and commented on it but we were voices crying in the wilderness.
  23. And no play makers...not a good mixture He's legit...I know guys who clocked him at mid 4.5's in 40 yard dash...for dline guy that's insane
  24. He should be getting looks on defence...if we were letting Hallett play...both him and Shay should be getting reps
  25. Smith looks like a great athlete, I think he's got a bright future
  26. Yeah ,thats one thing I dont like about Eddie. I love watching his podcasts though. Darren Cameron is a hoot ,has no filter.
