  1. Past hour
  2. Have ppl actually been to practice since the 90s? Cuz it ain’t what it used to be. My daughter and I checked one out in August I believe, she was off school still and we left after 15 minutes. Went to bomber store and that was that. Nothing happens. There was more contact and ppl moving faster at the bomber store than on field. Less shouting but definitely more contact at the store cuz I bumped into a rack and it almost fell over. That was more than we saw on the field. At this point of season I’d think keeping guys like Neufeld healthy would be more important cuz we all know if he got hurt in practice most of you would lose your **** on O’Shea.
  3. No we aren’t. It’s Thompson and chipmans money. Ticket sales make up less than half the cap. The cap is rising. 1 guy making 12 million when the cap is over 100 is irrelevant. Not everyone gonna be paid their 8 year 12 million per like KC got. this isn’t the bombers. You aren’t paying their salaries. They have billion dollar tv deals and billionaire owners. Your 1980s thinking is not relevant in 2025. oilers have 2 guys making 26.5 million. Jets have KC (he signed) at 12 and Helle and Scheifele at 8 each. So 28 for the 3 stars. Edmonton 26.5 for 2. lol at thinking 3rd or 4th liners gonna get these deals cuz they won’t. actually. Like the cfl the cap money will go to the stars not the foot soldiers. And that’s what’s happening cuz it’s the stars signing these big deals. Meanwhile Chibrikov signed 2 years 850k per. Iafallo got 4 ish this off season. Not everyone is gonna get that bag. Scheif Helle signed 8 years. They are making 8 for 8!years. Next guy up who might get paid is Josh. That’s it tho. nHl is not a gate driven league. It’s a billion dollar tv deal driven league. Canadian teams are the only ones who sell out consistently and ppl think it’s their ticket money. lol. It’s not. It’s the tv deal. The prices are going up with everything. Going to a nhl game is not a necessity tho it’s a luxury.
  4. Today
  5. As Phil Collins used to sing, "It's just another day in paradise".
  6. A vet day after a bye week
  7. Very few fans complained about MIke Riley. He was pure gold winning two Grey Cups in 3 years. Always smiling, great to deal with as fans or with the media. Total opposite of his father, Bud who was Head Coach from 1974-77.
  8. I say the UFL & CFL won't merge unless they can come to some kind of a magical agreement. There's no agreement to do so.
  9. Just ty[ical though, isn't it? Three games left in the middle of a playoff run & they give Neufeld a vet day.
  10. Again, your opinion which is marginalized.
  11. Such a dumb post. 1) There's a cap... Spending this much % on one guy is wild. 2) Yes. We're paying their salaries... To meet the salary cap the team is going to jack the price u in stuff like tickets and concessions.
  12. lol at practice. You mean light jogging and no contact.
  13. Why. It’s Chipman and Thompsons money. Totally irrelevant. It’s not like we are paying their salaries.
  14. Heard it's 12+ for sure...
  15. One area where we have to give credit where credit is due: the Bombers management has consistently fielded a strong starting secondary.
  16. Zod help us if it’s 13m x 8.
  17. So imagine if we could get pressure how good the D would be.
  18. And they weren't really the favourites if you paid attention to how the Bombers had been playing. That just made it all the more entertaining. Hearing the chosen narrative and thinking "yes but."
  19. Yesterday
  20. BC puts up 30 points a game, so they can afford to allow 29 and still win.
  21. We don't know anything of the context... And a guy like Neufeld, whose number one issue is staying healthy and ready to go for the long haul of playoffs.... Who ******* cares about one day of practice?
  22. the week after a bye, in the end of the season with us in the cross over spot. No one should be getting vet card days. It’s not like practice is insanely physically demanding in this era either.
  23. Not every one that’s for sure. It’s important to have enough competitive balance that any team can turn it around and not be perpetually bad as hopeless, like several nba franchises. But what’s best is variety mixed with great stories. You want to have turn arounds and upstarts like the blue jays, but you also want to have them come up against the likes of the evil empire nyy. That, is compelling and entertaining to every one, even when it’s one sided. In 19 the cats were run away favorites, but we shocked them and the cfl to end a huge drought ushering forth an extraordinary stretch of success. Even the staunchest bomber haters say that was great viewing. You don’t get that with total parity. You need balance, but being too middle of the road is not good.
  24. But our D has allowed 70 less points in the same number of games. Sacks and pressure is nice but doesn’t lead to points not being scored against.
  25. He’s legit hurt tho.
