  1. Past hour
  2. Coach and assistant gm. Either or. He would have been gm and Chevy the president of hockey ops by now.
  3. The Riders could sign every free agent and win 14 straight Grey Cups and they would still suck. That is just a fact. I don't know why Rider fans come on here thinking they can convince us otherwise.
  4. Would it have? Hamilton didn’t win. Our O was crap. Still Would have been crap but wow what a catch every few games from Kenny.
  5. Vaughters was OK last year. Not great not bad.... if you're expecting more prepare to be disappointed. Honestly it's hilarious that the riders fan comes her thinking their losses are no big deal... they had a pretty charmed season last year and they've lost a lot. Depth is important because injuries happen. Once the Bombers started losing their depth they didn't win championships either. You can hand have it all away but.... I wouldn't expect a repeat for the riders. Especially not when it looks like Winnipeg learned it's lesson last season and you can't count on those wins again.
  6. Lemon will never go to the RIders imo. Bad blood between those two. However, Mauldin (if he was cheap) might be worth a camp invite. Even tho he looked really bad last year, maybe he just needs a fresh start,
  7. Lemon / Mauldin could probably be picked up on the cheap. Might be serviceable in a rotation on a one year prove me deal.
  8. The Riders did re-up a bunch of players, but no question they took a major punch to the gut with the losses. It will TBD if the recruits they bring in can perform. We always say you don't win a cup when you win free agency (see the Elks over the last 15 seasons). However losing 5 - 10 quality young players and depth pieces in one year cannot make the run any easier. It wasn't like they shedded dead weight from the club. Also Vaughters isn't the worst guy in the league... he's just an invisible guy. If he plays how he did last season then he's a C level signing. If he can perform at his best then he's more of a B+ signing.
  9. Did you just say to compare their physiques? Seriously? lol I never said Vaughters was as good as Carney, I said Vaughters could be a good rotational player in Mace's system. I believe they worked together in Calgary so Mace is familiar with them. How exactly is the Riders receiving corp a shell of what is was? We lost 2 depth receivers to other teams and one starter to the NFL. Meyers will be back by LDC like Ajou last year, you and I both know that. Very few heard of Nield or Robistelli at this time last year.
  10. Better not be done signing, you guys have what amounts to a pile of rubbish signed at DL right now.
  11. Let me type slowly so you will understand. Sacks, especially when you are talking 6 of them, mean nothing. His PFF was the 2nd lowest at QB pressures in the entire league last year. He, also, struggled badly at holding the edge because he was too slow. We had probably the worst DL in the entire CFL last year, and chose not to offer him a new contract. That ought to tell you way more about his on field impact than the fact the QB got pushed to him a few times last year. We had zero pressure off the edge last year...like none....and we got scorched because of it. Willie J was asked to drop out a lot of the time, so he can be forgiven, but Vaughters did zero and he was supposed to be our pressure guy off the edge. You guys got the worst De from the worst DL....and you think it was a good signing. You are proof that Da Nile isn't just a river in Egypt. After about 2 games of running backs going around the edge on Vaughters and QBs breaking contain on him and QBs surveying the horizon because they have all day in the pocket, and you will realize fully what you had in Carney and what you got in Vaughters. It will cost you games. The losses you guys took will result in lost games. I predict no better than 3rd in the West for you guys next year, and MIGs, you know as well as I do that I am really good at accurately predicting the Riders.
  12. I highly doubt the Riders are done signing Dlineman. Hervey gave Carney a ridiculous amount of money, can't blame him for moving on. I just find it odd that you say Vaughters is in decline when he had more than twice the amount of sacks than any other Bomber last year. Will be interesting to see how he does in the Riders system as many wrote off Carney after the 2024 season.
  13. Hopefully he is healed up
  14. God I wish you were the GM of the RIders, we could have traded Vaughters for Carney last year. You guys lost probably the best DE in the league last year and replaced him with one of the worst who is in decline.
  15. Not bag for playing on 1 leg.
  16. Not saying Vaughters in the caliber of Carney, just that he would be a good rotational player. Looks like he had twice as many sacks last season than any other Bomber.
  17. Mr. and Mrs. Inconsistency? Yea...good luck with that.
  18. 1 sack in 11 games? ok then
  19. Ceresna is 10x the DE that Vaughters is. I can't believe Migs is even trying to compare Vaughters to Carney or Ceresna, they are on a completely different level compared to Vaughters. Vaughters might be the worst starting DE in the CFL.
  20. Don't forget Ajou and DuncanBusby
  21. LMAO...you are seriously trying to compare the two? Ceresna on his worst day was/is better than Vaughters on his best. Take a look at their physiques and get back to me. LMAO. Migs don't ever change. Vaughters isn't good enough to belong in the same conversation as Carney, and you will soon find out that all stars leaving to be replaced by recruits isn't the slam dunk you think it is. Meyers might be back by Banjo Bowl, but at this point and time he is a Bengal and your receiving corps and depth is just a shell of what it was. Your DL even moreso. Trust me, if you think Vaughters is the answer you are smoking the real good stuff.
  22. LMFAO yeah i wonder if maybe it was because he was playing hurt and his season ended after week 11.
  23. We lost some good depth players for sure, but we have solid depth behind that as well. Nield is a good player but we already have Ajou, DuncanBusby, and Weibe as backup Canadian receivers. When we signed Emilus and KSB, it was impossible to bring back Nield, not surprised the Bombers picked up another ex-Riders receiver. Meyers will be back by LDC if not sooner. My only concern is losing Carney, but it looks like Vaughters could be a good rotational player and he has a history with Mace. Allen is good but we also have 3 good prospects to replace him in Hundeby, Wiebe, and Straker. Nobody knew who Allen was at this time last year. I bet you don't wanna know how many sacks Ceresna had last season. Vaughters also spent alot of time in the NFL so comparing their CFL sack totals is silly.
  24. Ceresna isn't the prized signing imo. Broxton is. Ceresna is still effective though. Vaughters wasn't in CGY and certainly wasn't here. I will say the loss of Nield might be helped with Wiebe as he could be a solid piece...jury is still out though. Certainly doesn't have the size. And like Mike said, the loss of depth may not seem like a big thing but come October you'll understand why it is.
