So I’m on the side line Saturday with the other season ticket holders bringing out the Canadian flag for O Canada. I’m minding my business, The head coach is like 200 yards away, but this man has EARS so big they probably pick up satellite radio. My girlfriend squints and goes, “Why does he look so angry? He looks like an off-brand Gargamel.” I panic. I’m like, “SHUT UP, HE CAN HEAR US.” She laughs, until he TURNS. Not walks, not jogs. TURNS.. Next thing I know, this man is SPRINTING toward me like I just bad-mouthed his favorite protein powder. Before I can react, this dude snatches my toque straight off my head like it was a turnover he could challenge. I’m stunned. My scalp is cold. My girlfriend is praying. The coach is standing there wearing my toque with a stupid grin on his face. Then security pulls up like “Sir, is there a problem?” And this coach, this MASTER MANIPULATOR, instantly transforms like he just activated cutscene mode and goes: “Problem? No, no, this is my best friend, my BROTHER, my day-one from preschool. Look, I’m just borrowing his toque because it’s cold. Right, champ?” I’m still processing the ear-to-sprint timeline, so all I manage to say is: “Yes” Security nods and leaves. Coach pats my shoulder like I just got drafted to his emotional support roster and walks away in my toque, humming like a Disney villain who just got the magic amulet.

Yes, our past history with injured guys in the playoffs is questionable....... I also forgot to add the best part of the game is ....NO MORE AIR HORNS.... that was the best single change the league did all year.....
-
Don't have to be concerned with cap room as SMS stops at the end of the regular season. Normally the only guys left on the practice roster are players that the Bombers are willing to let walk. Otherwise they will be 1 gamed.

Mass has developed into a good coach...and he has tuned his temper down many levels....but he is till a very whiney coach...he is always in a refs ear it seems....So as Noeller points out the team emulates that.....but at least...... NO AIR HORNS....all game.........

Yeah...I not really concerned with the defense...they showed all yr they can be really good...and as we seen with proper use of guys...more than really good Offense tho...ooooeee...Oc guy is our weakness there...hopefully Osh has the sense to lean on Jackson a bit more and maybe have more say in the gameplan...and if he hurts lil oc guy feelings oh well... Gotta keep ZC clean and minimize risk of him getting smacked around...so if its a quick hitter game..lotsa run type plays like we saw vs Hamilton...that go a long way in how successful we are..I'm quite concerned with Demski tho..and if he not legit 100 percent he shouldn't be playing with a hammy issue...past history makes me cringe we dress a gimp...and then just handcuff ourselves

We can IR them on 1 game can we not? And yeah we must have cap room with schoen..makonzo..Logan all off books extended time... Wonder if we see Smith get a good amount of reps again...he played very well...and the more reps...the better and quicker the development.. Ayers too...got to actually play his natural position and made plays..sucks it took Osh 18 games to get guys reps..

I too would like to see Jenkins for Person, and Baily for a depth Canuck.....I really like Allen and Holm, Housten, Nichols, Parker with Lawson backing up, I do like our LB core, Griffen and Woodsby both have impressed me, and although one could argue the two Canucks should have had more reps, they do seem to form solid depth, If a rested Willy can find his form, with Jake, Lawson, Woods rotating in between him and Vaughters with Baily and Jenkins actually rotating I believe the D-line will be decent. Overall. I am not concerned about the defence, especially if we have at least a bit of rotation along the D-line......I like our specials, I think we have an advantage on that 3rd over Mtrl. It's all the offence that scares me......save two games they have been utterly terrible this year....and I mean terrible, look at the ints. this year.... we won a game with what 9 passes...and are going into teh playoffs with two completely putrid offensive games back to back.... any one of the three qbs we have played at times have a D player in their face almost instantly...and can't find open receivers...it can't be all three...it has to be routes and schemes...., heck week 18 we saw a guy come clean through the A gap......untouched.....our deep ball is virtually nonexistent...at least to our own team that is.... we forget to manage the clock and seem to have little to no comprehension of situational awareness, we appear to gamble when we should play safe and play safe when we should gamble, save for one game we have not seemed to build on plays throughout the game to get into a rhythm....I don't have the yardage stats, but we must have the worst flats passing attack in the league...false starts, offsides, no ends like it were preseason most of the year...I could go on but I don't want to be too depressing..... IF our offence even plays a decent game, like 200 yards passing, no turnovers avoids avoidable penalties and uses our run game, we will win with the defence and special teams we have...we can and I dare say "should" with our experience win this game...but the offence at least needs to show up and protect the ball.......This year though that is a tough ask

I travelled to every Grey Cup for 26 straight years, with one exception....Regina the second time around. My first experience was so poor I said never again. EVERY other Grey Cup was an absolute treat and was exceptionally well done.
-
No ******* hotels.... That city should never be given any major events.
-
It's good to finally have good options to spell off our grey beards. Hopefully we dress them. I can understand the difficulty though, because whoever we put on the PR to make room could very well be FA's so we must choose carefully. Can't expose any of our young NAT talent to get them on board. Mind you there is always the 1 game IR, certainly we must have the cap room to do that.
-
Especially since Bailey demonstrated that he can contribute to special teams.
-
You're being very kind in the way you phrased this. Very Bigblue of you.
-
Home Hardware maybe?
- Today
-
yeah....infrastructure wise they are lacking on several levels....and doesnt make for a great experience....plus it's Regina...the best thing to ever come out of that place was KickAxe
-
I agree...as much as I like Person and believe he gonna be good....Jenkins is more CFL ready...that being said him...Jenkins and Jaworski will all be solid guys for tc next yr and all could be on the roster in my opinion He showed polished technique and ability already....the one where he faked a bullrush and with speed and agility cur underneath the tackle and came fee for a shot on the QB...you dont see that oftem....especially out of a rookie...he's got some serious chops Bailey as well...he showed power moves...was wicked fast off the edge...and he got clean shots on Q.B onmore than one occasion....and as we saw....is more than capable on ST's....we need some speed/power guys....and that in itself may get our Gray beards on end to play with more spunk
-
I agree that Jenkins for Person is an easy swap. Bailey for one of our depth Canadians would also be a good choice.
-
If he were some kid fresh out of the NCAA, maybe one would have to wonder if maybe he just had one of those games where everything went right and that he might not be able to sustain. However, he isn't. This is a kid with NFL pedigree, that showed an amazing ability to quickly adapt to the yard off the ball. He is legit talent and showed it. That is why I think it's a no-brainer he at least gets the nod over Person. He had probably the 2nd best performance of any DE we've had this season. we've had other rookies the past couple years show some ability at DE but were also non factors for much of and many of the games. This kid not only got home with sacks, but noticeably disrupted on most of his reps. Legit.
-
ugh....I was hoping after the last cup held there, they would hold off for a while. The place can not host a major event. Like not the stadium....the city. Not enough facilities and no one actually wants to go there.
-
2027 Grey Cup to be hosted by the Riders. Be nice if it was played in a place that had indoor plumbing.
-
Look at who their HC is and that says it all.
-
I hate that we are at the mercy of a rigidly stubborn head coach who has repeatedly chosen to stroke his ego rather than make the best choices for the team. Frustrating.
-
Dumping Thomas for Bailey would make us a better team if Osh doesnt want to drop one of Ball or Corcorran who do nothing for us really ...Cobb has way more value than Corcorran and we have big bodies in MCI and Clercius to use in a blocker role that they put Corcorran out there for...and is not good at...so him on roster is a waste...Dress Vibert again...hate to have 2 lineman go down in a playoff game and then have to have JT sucking on the oline too
-
I think our only hope might be that he's displaced Person... but I imagine we'll still see a large helping of Willie and Vaughnters... and don't forget Thomas on 90% of snaps...
-
yup...fresh legs too at the right time....He offers us a nice combo of what we been lacking...Same can be aid for Bailey as well...he showed a lot...and offers valuable defensive reps to keep the old farts fresher...and can play teams...and...he's fresh too I also am worried he plays a not ready Demski as well...cause I not sure he gonna be totally healthy and with a hammy...one lil tweak again and he's done....with how Smith played on defence...Lawson...Kramdi likely back..we can delegate 2 Canadians for atria on defence and technically not have to have 2 Canadian receivers.....we seen how this dance has gone before playing not healthy recievers in playoffs and it screwed us royally Run out a Wheatfall...Echols...Pokey..Clercius...Stearns unit ...heavy use of BO and sprinkle in some dual backfield sets with Peterson...even MCI and trust in them to get to the EF with a "healthier" Demski
