  1. Past hour
  2. Bring back Manny Mataskis
  3. My bad. PTSD I guess. Thank goodness, I thought this place had gone off the deep end once and for all.
  4. Talk is about Chad Kelly, not Mike Kelly.
  5. Today
  6. Yea...I'm sure. Lapo would have control of his QB. Collaros can easily play a ball control style. He doesn't like it, but he could. I can't even believe that anyone would even entertain the notion of bringing back Mike Kelly. This is just insanity. I couldn't care less about his perviness, the guy was an absolute disaster as a coach, an even worse GM, and single handedly destroyed our reputation and made us the laughing stock of the league. I would rather hire the Saskatchewan guy who likes to poop in Winnipeg planters than Kelly.
  7. Apologies for being away for so long. You probably already heard the answer, but it was a called QB sneak. And then when Hamilton subbed on too many guys and none stayed out on Wheatfall, he signalled to Strevy/Strevy noticed it (not sure which was really first), and touchdown.
  8. Doug doesn't like kicking off in both halves and said so during the Edmonton game and in the post-game show. O'Shea very clearly believes that kicking off twice is okay if he gets the wind in the long quarters. So, I was curious to find how many times each team had kicked off twice (as a proxy for 'taking the wind in the 4th').
  9. Collaros seems to have reached the point where there is no strong part of his game any more. He used to be able to roll out and throw 40 yard darts with amazing accuracy, but no more.
  10. You sure about that? Lapo has his system and it's been the same for ever. Not all that different from what Hogan is trying to do, just lapo is better at it. For my money collaros would struggle in a lapo system because it relies on a lot of short passing which is absolutely the weakest part of collaros game.
  11. For a team that relied on grinding out wins, especially late in the game ensuring you have the wind in the long quarter isn't always a bad thing.
  12. I'm a big believer in second chances, but Kelly's personality and track record indicates that this is his core personality and unlikely to change. He might suppress it for a while under duress, but leopards and spots...
  13. It's possible (there are 4 locker rooms at PAS) so the Western team could be placed in the Bisons locker room rather than the visitors room. For a stadium that does not have that option, the CFL policy says that the Bombers would probably have to move. FAQ about The League on CFLdb
  14. Not really. Argos/Stamps at only 2 & Als/Redblacks at 3 would suggest it's not dome related, and more about strategy. It's a bit surprising when you consider we had Janarion Grant as a returner for most of that time period - you would think they'd want one of the best returners in the league doing his thing as much as possible.
  15. Apparently they wouldn't be. Heard that the Bombers would still get their dressing room.
  16. I mean...I'd watch the CoFL before the UFL especially with those rules. Would be interesting to see how Offenses adjust and just how useful the waggle could be on an American field.
  17. I generally agree with what your are saying. But both BOLO and Wolly would still be massive upgrades to the depth chart. Having Bolo come on the field last game instead of Coracan would have been massive.
  18. "Well other people did bad things too!" lol look at you defending a well known multiple time POS. lol. **** Kelly and any team that employs him. He's well past his 2nd chance. I fully believe MOS will ride the vets that want to stay right to the unemployment line. It's a shame but that seems to be the plan.
  19. Nope. Our coaching staff themselves are resistant to change so I can't see them telling ZC to change things up.
  20. We have supplied Hamilton with serious upgrades in talent. Not a single bit of that has been from our cast offs though. Unless, you wanna call Lawler and Dobson castoffs which they most certainly are not. The rest of the players that have gone there have made little to no impact. Roster fillers and/or injured most of the season. Still banging the Garbutt/Fox drum and that is sad. They suck.....1 sack combined. Yep....that will win the cup for Hamilton. Really...honestly...you think Fox/Garbutt/Hubert/Wolitarsk (injured almost all year)/BOLO represent any kind of missed opportunity by the Bombers? That just shows your overwhelming bias against our coaches. Those guys aren't why we are losing. Lawler/Dobson....yep,,,they are big factors in our **** season. They ain't castoffs tho. They are gone due to poor GMing. Man, what could have been if Walters had done his job.
  21. Wow... thats all I got good luck UFL
  22. Agreed, IF the Bombers aren't the team to win it all then I hope it is the TiCats. Personally, I will cheer for the Bombers though and think that they could still get to the Cup. Got to be consistent though.
  23. Yep...hence what we have seen this year. Not saying it's going to happen, just saying it's what needs to happen. I think we may have been a lot better off hiring Lapo over Hogan. Lapo love him or hate him, would not have continually tried to put a square peg in a round hole.
  24. Hey I've seen that movie don't think I'll like the sequel
  25. Context goes against the hate agenda here. Here is the ultimate context, we went 17-4 in that span. Poor coaching indeed. Obviously, MOS would rather have the choice of field in the 2nd half vs getting the ball for one possession but that runs against the narrative here where criticism rarely comes with context. Everything MOS bad....that's all we need to know. The teams who have made the choice to kickoff twice have won by an almost 3-1 margin. Yep that Oshea is dumb alright. Now we will hear the drivel of we won in spite of the bad decision, but the fact shows that coaches who have done so have been enormously successful when making this choice, not just OSH. Yet here we go, after Derek Taylor gives us the ONLY way to judge whether this decision is sound or not, and people are still beaking off calling it poor coaching? This forum has taken a leave of it's senses this year. Pitchforks are out and not a lot is making sense anymore. Just blind hate for everything. Sad really. Guys who know football around here and should know the decision to kickoff twice gives us the choice of wind are just completely disregarding that because it doesn't jive with their agenda and it has completely dumbed down the conversation around here. There is no balance whatsoever, just cherry picking out of context. Get used to it. It's not going to get any better. We have an almost cult of personality developing here.
  26. Can Zach change his style? We have not seen evidence of this yet.. Will the coaching staff push him to change? See above.
  27. Zach ain't what he used to be for sure, but his arm is not cooked. He needs help around him, play calling that makes sense, a coach that will reign him in, and a little more self awareness. He isn't MOP calibre anymore, but he is still capable of being a lot better than what he has shown this year. Gone are the days of Zach taking control of a game on a consistent basis, but he can certainly manage our games a lot better if we can create the right conditions. That being said, his salary needs to reflect that if we are going to bring him back. There is no reason in the world he can't re-invent himself like Harris and BLM have done if everyone comes to terms with the fact he has to do so, including himself.
