I mostly agree but aging and repeated injuries have created a circumstance where absolutely everything has to be just so for Collaros to be effective, and I remain unconvinced that this is going to happen in 2026.

There's qualified coaches out there at the U Sport level who could come up & be great DL coaches who never get a chance. They languish hoping for an opportunity to coach in the CFL & Osh gives an important coaching position to Thomas. like it's nothing. Just one of his Boyz with absolutely no coaching experience. Just cuz he played (debatable) doesn't mean he can coach. Mind boggling.

I love Demski's work ethic and fearlessness, but his pattern is of increasingly injury-prone and longer healing times. I fervently hope Walters & Co. find a replacement and soon.

Have we really moved on from Thomas, though? His so-called pass rush was pure and repeated bull rush. If that failed, he was useless as he had nothing else. That said, how can he teach techniques he never had? I see this as O'Shea giving the finger to his critics.

I hope he's back & we sign him for 2 years.

I like Justin Hardy. Consistent 1000 yard guy. How about someone like Dejon Brissett? Big target, Canadian, makes a lot of plays. Nearly 1000 yards last year. Seems like a good fit for Zach. Hardy, Demski and Brissett play the slots. Wilson plays WR where he seems to excel. Clercius plays the forgotten WR spot. Then you have 4 Canadians in skilled positions which will let you play more Americans on the OL and protect our QB. Have Cobb, Corcoran and a Canadian OL to back up.

Looks like Tui Eli was extended as per the CFL transactions page. I guess the Bombers media department has the day off today as they havent made the announcement yet.

Osh hires the assistant coaches Logan showed nothing at returner last year. Don’t see a need to pay him at all. No real need for a backup American RB on the roster, better to find a DB or WR that can return if Vaval signs down south

I have no idea what this means. Walters is just as likely to sign someone or let them walk? Every GM signs some guys and lets some walk. That’s how it works

Not sure about Logan. His SMS was reported at $107K. Obviously if Vaval comes back then we're looking for a PR player as injury insurance and development on an ELC. Saving $26K on Logan not a big deal but we don't know if he's asking for more either. There will always be DB's, receivers looking to win a spot that includes depth as a returner. A few players coming off serious season ending injury: Streveler, Schoen, Case and Bonds to name a few. I'm not expecting any of them back but we'll see if that happens or not. A few players like Hallett and Gauthier might not be extended. Both still good on ST's but we added Ball and 3 LB's in the draft to take on those roles. Overall we added 3 LB's, 1 DB, 1 receiver and 1 OL from the 2025 draft. Some SMS savings potentially. 2026 draft will add some new players to the roster and room will need to be made. However younger and ELC options is an annual situation.

Yep, the litmus test will be free agency. If he does well, I'll change my tune. Until then, nope. Bringing Thomas & Hogan back as coaches is a big red flag for me.

Walters has brought back two elite Canadian starters for the offense in Brady and Demski, two potential starting Canadians on D in Lawson and Kramdi and an all star HB in Nichols. So far, I think his off-season work should be applauded not **** on.

Teams are using up what's left of the cap money from this season before January 1st. I'm hoping we still have some money left over for players we'd like back & not given to deadweight veterans who shouldn't be here. I'd like to see Sergio Castillo back for sure. But this is Kyle Walters our GM we're talking about. He's just as likely to sign him as to let him walk.

Exactly why giving Walters a 3 year deal was a mistake. He didn't deserve to come back. Should have been fired. Yet, there he is packaged. gift wrapped & sealed for delivery to us, the fanbase for three more ******* years. What did he do to deserve 3? The Old Boyz Club in Winnipeg is going strong. Osh & Walters three more years. Thomas, well if they don't play him then give him a full time coaching job at a position where he failed to excel. Ever. Keep Hogan around as a running back coach when he failed as an OC. Most team that would also be a firing. Here?? Hogan gets a nice soft big chair to sit on at PAS & gthe drinks are on the house.

Stats are great, but tape is even better. Coverage ability, can they get off a run block, are they making plays in the backfield.

Agreed on all points. I like the changes MOS has made, and so far like the players we have re-upped with the obvious caveat of hating BO's salary. Like keeping him though. So far we extended a lot of our NAT talent and didn't let them walk which is a massive improvement over the past 3 years where KW let our NAT talent get decimated. Hopefully, he has learned. I really don't mind the coaching moves at all. I think Condell will help our passing game and help us in our recruitment at receiver. I think Jake being off the field is huge for us, and I honestly believe he can be a really good position coach.

true on both points about logan. However, an un proven here guy who wasn’t a top tier returner previously coming off a serious injury is a big risk. I’d only take him back as a flyer. No expectations, cheap deal, very little rope in camp. I don’t think wj would play for the level of pay he actually warrants with his play. I’d want other pass rushers signed before wj. Atleast one top level guy. Then wj battles for 3rd reps. That probably won’t happen but it’s what should happen. Vaughters was ok, but didn’t play him self into another deal at the same range as last year imo. If kola is cut loose i will very happily eat my hat and heaping piles of crow. That would seal the fact that the mafia has recognized the error of their ways and are doing what it takes to fix it. I am very encouraged by my moves so far. i’d put us at a B+. we could’ve done better at dl coach and oc, but we could also polish both those guys into being A+ additions to the staff. we gotta crack open the bank in free agency, and not blow it all extending guys who wouldn’t get any offer or even close to that money any place else.
