Alrighty with the preseason done and the regular season only a few short days away its time to start the Lock of the Week contest.

Rules are pretty simple.

1. Every week you must pick a player that will score a touchdown. Passing touchdowns don't count. Receiving, rushing, return (interception, fumble, punt and kick) count as a TD

2. There is no limit to the amount you can pick a player. If you want to pick Darvin Adams every week than you can.

3. If you fail to correctly pick then you acquire a strike. If you correctly pick you do not pick up a strike.

4. If you miss making a pick for the week you will acquire a strike.

5. All picks must be made before kickoff of the team that your selected player is playing in.

6. 5 strikes and you are out of the game.

7. Last one remaining or the one with the least strikes at the end of the year wins.

8. In the highly unlikelihood that teams are tied at the end of the year. The winner will be the player who has selected the most different players thought the year.

Winner will receive a yet to be determined prize.

Yeah ditto.  I'll take Flanders if Andrew Harris isn't playing.  Otherwise I'll keep my Harris pick.

Personally, I think that you really should have to make a choice.  None of this "I'll take this guy unless..." stuff.  Pick your guy and live with your choice.

I agree ^^ and that's why I went with Messam. There's too much "Maybe" with the Bombers RB situation right now...

I'm taking Arceneaux unless he doesn't score a touchdown, in which case my pick is Banks.

Unless he doesn't score.  Then Smith.  I feel no need to specify which Smith.

A little different when we weren't sure if Harris was playing or not.  That's like saying "well sorry Bomber's, last week your roster said Harris WAS playing so...you know...sorry, he's not allowed to have someone sub in for him".

I've seen other people in the past change their pics, not sure what's so different about this.  And no one said "if so and so don't make a TD then we pick so and so".  You don't need to exaggerate the fact.

Put it in the rules if you don't want people to change their pics.

Nothing to do with changing a pick.  It's about the if-then-else stuff.  Pick one person and only one.  You can always change your mind prior to the first kickoff

Right, I get what you're saying.  I just think this was one of those one off things where he hurt himself mid-week and everyone was giving different information.  He's starting, he's not starting, he's out for 6 weeks, etc...

In the last 3 or 4 years we've played this (maybe more), this is the first time this has ever happened to me.  It was just an oddball thing.

In any case, I still pick Andrew Harris.
