Get Paul Jones!

I dont know why his name is never mentioned as someone to bring in and fix this mess. Paul Jones would be an excellent person to get here and run the show.

There's a You Tube video where Jones talked at length about scouting in the CFL. He certainly sounded like he knew a ton about scouting & how CFL teams scouting depts work with shoestring budgets. But Walters fired him so don't hold your breath.

He's a 17 year Eskimo employee. What makes you think he's going to come to this gong show?

I guess he's got Moll on the brain.

Well, he did get his start here.  A very successful one, too.

So what you're saying is he is ready to jump ship lol

Yeah sorry, I was thinking of the guy Mack had. Compared to what the Bomber scouts have done the past 2 years he was a major success. My bad for the wrong name, gentlemen.

Jones has been asked before, he has no interest in leaving Alabama.

I was thinking of this guy, Ken Moll. If you have the time, give a listen. Too bad Walters fired him as he'd be a real asset right now. .

The only thing that will turn the organization around is spending money on football ops and coaches. Until that changes we will always be trailing behind everyone else in the league.

Say what you like about Miller but he is exactly the kind of bully they need in that role to stand up to the penny pinching civil servants on the board, hopefully, he can get them removed so we don't continue to be handcuffed by those clownshoes.

Not sure where and how the notion of cheap still circulates. The football ops staff has been significantly expanded. Some coaches don't even choose to interview here for other reasons. It never even gets to money.

What?! There are 14 people on the BoD including 1 Provincial rep and one City rep.

Why in the world would we need a BOD comprised of 14 members to run a football operation? Seems excessive to me.

At one point the BoD was there for oversight and their apparent business experience. Then some of them decided they needed to be more hands on. They really should be like a company BoD more governance then any real interference. Like all things some perhaps have their own personal agenda. The opposite of it is being at the whim of a singular private owner I guess. That too has it's risks.

He's doing great so far...

Ridiculous is what it is but the BOD is operating like all the other city/provincial bureaucracies, bloated and inefficient. Their only concern is getting their $5.6M a year off the top for the loan and park and ride transit.

Can you say 'conflict of interest'.

Absolutely. Imagine being owned by Al Davis.

Who can fix this?

Forget Davis, how about being owned by the Glieberman's or F Troop?

Riders have 11 on their BoD.

Well, just 2 years ago fans here were saying we had to look at the Rider organization & remodel our community ownership just like there's. Suddenly all changed.

Or Peter Pocklington, or Nelson Skalbania or Bruce McNall or Larry Ryckman or .......

It sure sounds like he knows what he's talking about. Why would Walters fire him?
