Geez. Enterprise gets destroyed yes. Lin said it was his idea. When JJ first spoke to him about taking on the job he asked him to pitch a "bold idea" and Lin said blow up the ship. Bold. Hmmmmm. Anyway....hopefully it ends with us seeing a new better enterprise closer to TMP. You might also notice from the trailer what appears to be an NX ship similar to the Enterprise tv show. Would have liked Elba as well, but like you said, he's getting a bit old so he'd only be able to do a couple. Plus Hiddlestone actually has that suave, debonair look to him. The official word is its normal tweaks but some reports are saying its actually half the film that is being re-shot over six weeks.
