His analysis of Jeff Fuller was good.  Played 3 games in 2013, only 15 catches.

That made me laugh too. Back in his day, Rod caught 10 passes a game.

 

I'm also glad he didn't get any better at determining how far away from the first down marker a ball carrier was tackled.

Weird to see Brandon Whitaker running between the tackles so much -- got so many bad memories of Calvillo feeding him screen passes and swing passes and sweeps that just killed us over the past few years.

 

Smith looks awful, and he got really lucky on that ill-advised wide-side out into the wind.

Maybe it's me being picky but Rod constantly referring to things in this game being the "first of 2014" is unbearably annoying.

That was a bit of an odd play by the stamps. But worked out nicley.

Ugly start for Montreal. Take away the big TD pass and Calgary's offence hasn't looked that hot either.

Troy Smith looking like Andre Ware out there .. he hasn't figured out how wide the CFL field is yet....

Rod also doesn't know the difference between throwing the ball away and an incomplete pass.

Troy Smith plays a part in this of course, no denying that, but anytime you sack your OC in training camp is usually isn't a good sign of things to come for the season.

If the Als are lucky, Smith will reach the upside of Michael Bishop.  Have a handful of spectacular games, but inconsistent and inaccurate.

Same reason the obvious PI call against Kelly was missed in the endzone - because it's the CFL.

At game speed, I think it looked like Whitaker was bobbling the ball as he went down.  

I thought that stadium announcer would never shut up so the official could talk.

Take away Mitchell's 102 yard touchdown and he's 6/11 for 73 yards at this point. Dull game.

Awful read by Troy Smith. Saved by the penalty.

How are people not enjoying this game? Watching Troy Smith bumble his way around a football field is pure comedy.
