Paris Cotton injury update

Recommended Posts

I forgot what will ford did last year.

2 kickoff returns for a touchdown.

Doesn't have pull away speed that i recall but can make some people miss.

Light years ahead for blow disel

Seems to me that Fords best asset as a runner was his speed.... He wasn't terribly elusive but if he got a hole he had the speed to hit it and run a long way.

Yep, close to being his only asset compared other CFL backs, he doesn't break many tackles or make people miss, but if he hits a crease he can go a long way fast.

Yeah he's a real good slasher, I thought if they were used properly he and Simpson could really be a dynamic force running the ball for us.... But they weren't...

Cotton appears to have it all though, minus pounding the ball that is.

Can't be too worried about the RB as it's one of the few positions that has solid talent throughout imo.  Whether it's Ford or Grigsby they're going to be more than adequate to carry the limited running attack the Bombers will present and both have breakaway potential.  Knowing that Cotton will be back in 2-3 weeks should give them supreme motivation to perform.

We do not have the luxury of having the passing attack carry the offense until we get the running game off the ground. This team has been losing badly for so long that it will not have the emotional resiliency to bounce back if we get our butts kicked in the first few games. We need to have all guns firing to be competitive- hence the calls for Messam.

I thought the calls for Messam were to address ratio woes.

If we're making calls to get the best possible RB we can find, the calls I'm making all have US area codes at the start.

I remember people saying this when Blow Dorzon was our starter for the first month of 2012...

In that video ford was caught from behind by a db I think at the goal line. Maybe the db is fast.. But would think ford should be faster?

I drank during games to lessen the pain.

With all the Chris Garrett talk I wonder if we consider bringing him in due to our running back injuries. He hasn't been the same since his injury, but he didn't look bad when he was with the Riders last year. He'd probably be an improvement over Grigsby and Ford for whatever that's worth.

so one example where a fast defender (and yes Cox is fast himself) vs. 3 or 4 highlights in that video where he runs away from everyone and you draw the conclusion that he's not a fast back? Are you serious? You're ******* with me right?
