Joey Crawley

Given how bad last game went I wonder if we could have some humor! Remember Joey Crawley who would write devils advocate posts saying the moose will get a bigger crowd than the bombers would for a champions parade and Jim Daley was our best head coach. I wonder what happened to him?

O'Shea's track record for ruining players is lengthy enough that I am amazed that he wasn't canned for that alone. He has had multiple other reasons to have been fired, let alone re-upped to three more years.

Just making stuff up now eh Donald. Team Drs in the end give the red or green light. But hey maybe dolegala would have won that cup game right. Jesus Christ.

which makes even more sense to not worry about the Admin/Coaches cap and cut ties this yrs end if we flop...he will be off the books if hired elsewhere...so not a big concern....and certainly there is an organization or 2 blinded by the success to take him on...I encourage it lol

really?...maybe a loaded team already...but if brought in to resurrect one...cant see it...nope...He wasnt the defacto reason of the turn around....and the evidence we have seen since the firs cup loss with a still loaded team...and the subsequent things all contributing to the slide...and yes we sliding....I dont see garuanteed turn around just cause he is there

He did that exact thing you are saying he can't do with us already. Of course, you need talent, EVERY coach who ever coached does. MOS is fantastic at rebuilding. It's maintaining where he and Walters both suck.

MOS inherited a team in shambles and completely devoid of talent when he got here. He built a locker room that went on to win 2 GCs and appeared in 5 straight. To suggest he can't successfully navigate a rebuild is just re-writing history. He is EXACTLY the right coach for a rebuild.

Entitlement amongst the fan base is insane. I get going on about real issues but the re writing history to fit the narrative is insane.

But even I shut the last game off because i can deal with Losing, i can’t deal with the D in particular giving up. Back to back games at that. We are now Thursday 1030am, nothing. Not a peep.

No changes. I get bye week but show me you care and ******* do something if you are even allowed. If not ok, on the 1st day back from it, better be ch ch changes.

Move on from McManus as scout.

There a reason others have moved on and he hasn’t.

that simple. Demote younger?

I dunno. Anything. lol at firing O’Shea 8 9 games in to 3 yr deal. That’s not gonna happen. It just won’t. Accept it. Move on.

O’Shea is here this year and prob next at the least. So O’Shea is good at building a roster. That’s a good start. So what bombers need to do is forget 26 and audition for 27. Starting now. A rebuild of sorts. Step 1. Figure out the Oline. Step 2. Give the reps to Dru Taylor and BP even. Forget Zach. He’s not part of the rebuild, neither is Stan Kyrie Nichols Jones Neufeld and oh I dunno let’s go with Moxey. (There’s an easy way to show you notice a problem also, cut Moxey) Give me hope for 27 cuz right now there’s none for 26. Condell should go also.

he had a foot out the door until told to make a QB switch and Walter's provided him a stacked lineup that even the dumbest of fools couldt mis-manage

The locker room essentially built itself with the vets brought in...Osh himself even has said multiple times he rarely goes in and he lets his vets run the culture/show...Sure credit to him for fostering it...But also bad on him for also not feeling the vibe and recognizing when there could be fissures...you cant just stay in cruise control and assume the vets are handling things...complacency enters the room just as fast as it enters the coaching ranks

There a school in the ncaa who is going to let 1 fan call is it 3 plays or even an entire drive ???

Imagine that.

Bombers should do that

In all honesty....many here could prob do that for us and have it be succesful

I don't but into this at all. We've seen numerous examples of guys going in too early and re-injuring themselves immediately. Doctors must give the warnings but players have been allowed to ignore them.

And regardless of re-injury risk, if the coach looks at a player who is unable to practice and is clearly going to be a detriment to the team on the field, he has the responsibility to sit that player - regardless of what they've done for the team. But that's not O'Shea.

I agree there should be some changes, but I don't expect to hear about them this week. We'll see what happens next week.

MOS did help us rebuild and win two Cups. He also was really close to getting fired in 2016. If we lose that game to Edmonton going into the bye that year, good chance he's fired. What helped us win? Going to Matt Nichols which MOS only did due to an injury to Drew Wiley. My point, its complicated.

If Bomber management can still stomach the way the team is playing now and now make any significant changes in the off week following the most recent debacle, it sure as spit looks like we will be saddled with the team substantially as it is for the rest of the season.

Willy wasn't hurt in 2016, at least not publicly. He was pulled in the Calgary game after throwing a pick six, Nichols started the next game, and the rest is history.

The pick six is at 2:55 in this video, and Nichols is on the field next drive.

Not really complicated. Apparently Miller came down from the stands and ordered O'Shea to bench Willy in favour of Nichols or else. That ought to have been enough to question O'Shea's continued coaching.

Was gonna say..osh was told to make the change for lack of better wording

My mistake, thought it was an injury.

And will win a Cup with the next team... I have ZERO doubts about that. I'm not saying that's why you don't move on, but it's an absolute fact that he'll turn another franchise around same as he did with us.

Not necessarily. Maybe he will & maybe he won't. Lots of coaches who had success with one team & win championships don't do it somewhere else. Jim Trimble in Hamilton left the Ti Cats in 1963 for greener pastures in Montreal where he was canned a year later.

Eagle Keys won 3 Grey Cups in Edmonton as a player & a coach. He moved on to Saskatchewan in 1965 & coached the Rough Riders to their very first championship in 1966. He then left the Riders in 1970 to sign with the Lions where they were mediocre for 4 seasons & got canned.

In 2015, a week after winning the Gry Cup in Edmonton as HC, Chris Jones bolted from the Eskimos ro Head Coach Chris Jones bolted for the Eskimos to the Saskatchewan Roughriders to be their new HC & GM. he was fired after 3 seasons. Sometimes it's hard to recreate lightning in a bottle.

That's how the Trinity rolls. That's how it's always been here under them since they began in Old Testament biblical times. They always believe they're right & everybody else is wrong. Osh is stubborn as hell. What we need is a 4 to 5 win season to give all 3 of these guys running the team a huge dose of reality to change how things are being done. ten win seasons & being one & don e in the playoffs won't do it because that's an "okay" season. Ten wins is still acceptable to most fans. Like everything else, when things get ignored they break. The longer the Trinity waits to try to make the necessary changes then the worse it's going to get.
