So that's got to be one of the great returning seasons of all time for Vaval right?

10 yards off the regular season record. Over 100 yards against Toronto and then 237 yards today which is just shy of the single game playoff record if my quick googling is accurate.

One of the few consistent bright spots on the season

Sadly, I thought he was by far our best player today...

The strip sack illustrated our biggest problem this year. An OL that regularly misses assignments and a QB that lost a step in escapability. 7 out of 12 of our O starters are likely to retire or should be replaced. I like our receiving corps but there is a strong possibility we lose Singer. It gets worse before it gets better unless Walter's has the GM offseason of his life.

Defence im not as down on but we could use as stud or two more

Has there been a receiver in recent memory that has made the jump to even a PR spot in the NFL? I know there have been some reserve/futures deals, but usually they are back up here by the end of NFL camp at the latest.

I refuse to believe that we can't recruit a few above average receivers to help re-load next season.

From my eyes it was the older guys underperforming this season and they wasted so much time waiting for the old guys to bring back some glory, rather then rotating new guys on the field and trying out people who with a bit of time can far exceed the old guard. Singer was the ultimate example of this.

Having Singer and Wilson is a lot to start with. Gotta replace white and probably demski/ 1 canadian. Hit free agency for a wr1 and a good canadian and then you just need depth.

With the cap going WAY up and us having endless money to spend, there is no reason for us to not load up the dump truck...

Yep, in theory we should save a bundle of cash on zach going out to pasture

Agreed but is Brown the answer at QB? Related is it worth giving up a 2nd 1st to bring him back?

If you don’t have access to a true qb1, and I don’t believe one will be available this off season, the only thing to do is pile up quality behind that and have a real battle.

Do I believe dru can be that guy with proper support structure? Yes. I also think he’s our best option. Te, Dru, and Perkins plus another league vet qb2 type, and a rookie is the best we will do.

I do think that is a great set of qbs. Basically the best scenario next to having a qb1, or a guy like rourke when he took over. z

You mean the strip sack where it was a receiver who missed his block?

Zc..bryant..kramdi..jones..Nichols..Holm..wilson..schmeck..Neild ..there's prob 1.9m in cap right there in those 8 duds that can easily be repurposed for 10 guys who would have an impact and upside...

Watch them drop $750 000 on a 1 year guarantee deal with Zach.... now if that happens... ugh.

He does seem brittle. He'll need a great line in front of him.
