Our OL, DL, WRs need serious work. That seems like we're leaning into full rebuild.

If we get a new GM/HC their philosophy likely changes and we will see a ton more departure than just those three areas. Player here in the secondary/QB/RB, on STs, in depth are all here because they fit the mold of what we were looking for. I would not be surprised at all to see a new GM come in and immediately change our pay structure at many positions....RB for example. If we get a pass happy coach especially a player like BO may be deemed a luxury but not a must have....and honestly I'm ok with that.

Yup. Oline can’t be fixed over night. DL could be. Potentially if you have the starting Canadians elsewhere.

It all depends how willing we are to free up cash elsewhere. We saw the Riders OL go from hot garbage to pretty good in an offseason. No reason we can't do the same. What we will need to do is cut some dead weight salary though. Jefferson/BO buys some nice beef along our lines. I don't give a crap that BO has been our supposed heart and soul. He is a RB and RBs are expendable if a team needs to free up cash. I will add the caveat though, one that has escaped KW over the past few years, that if you are cutting ties with an all star NAT it better be to bring another one in.

I’d keep Brady cuz basically you’re sending the wrong message to 32000 people if you let Brady and Demski walk after you let Kenny walk the season prior and in this scenario, O’Shea walking this year. I mean I dunno, I think the local guys are worth it. Our Canadian talent needs to be improved. You ain’t doing that letting your 2 best walk. 32000 might become 25 26 pretty quickly.

Agreed Plus Collaros is at the end of the road with no heir apparent.

Seems to be for sure. I don't think we replace Collaros this year because there doesn't seem to be many options and he has a large portion of his salary guaranteed. However, I think our QB room behind him is getting a massive shake up. I don't see Streveler or Wilson back.

Its like people here have forgotten what it was like pre 2017...

If Osh leaves, 90 percent of the posters in this thread are going to be all Man, why the **** did we let Osh go.

Why would we not at least give him a chance to correct his mistakes- dude had one bad year... like holy **** guys... get a grip FFS...

He actually had 2 really bad years😀 but he has helped turn the club around and it will be difficult to move on from him, however the club might not have that choice and everyone is replaceable. I also think he has become more arrogant and less open to changing his ways because of his success. Anyway you slice it I think we fans are in for some lean years.

DL and WR, you can rebuild quickly with money. OL is as much alchemy as anything. You need the right guys in the right positions, and you need to give them time.

Yep, that being said we need to add two stud NATs imo.

How many stud NAT hit free agency? Ditto Stud OL?

Not sure. There are some every year though. Last year alone we lost two in FA.

Our need exceeds the availability. Imo, 1 stud imp or other wise. The best Ol you can get, FA or trade.

I think the OL isn't as far gone as some think.

Better scheme and better centre I think go a long long way to making them a respectable group.

Scheming and removing kola would help. That with an optimal ol line up would certainly make us respectable.

But the journey to being a team that dominates in the trenches, is long.

Yes we could use a guy like Drew Desjarlais back. Maybe Manu frees up....lol.

And yet...others are interested in his services.

Because they think he is better than what they have- in the cases of Ottawa and Toronto, that is nothing. If Dinwiddies is as astute as he seems, he will interview O'Shea but go elsewhere.

Would love Drew back.

Manu is struggling with rehab with the Lions. He tweaked his knee and was supposed to be out 4 weeks, which wasn't supposed to be season-threatening. But he's missed 4 games plus a bye week, and it sounds like he isn't close to ready to practice or even have an updated timeline to return.

Hard to know what to make of his injury/return. It is the kind of thing that can expedite a guy's departure from a team/league. But facing tough injury rehab is as likely to push a guy out of pro football altogether.

I hope for the best for him, he was just starting to get on down there.

I don't think stud OL are super rare in FA and the Bombers have been on both sides of it.  We picked up arguably the greatest OL in CFL history through FA and we've lost a number of really good ones over the last few years.

The last update on Manu was Nov 5th where Campbell said he didn't see him starting in the next week or two.  He's eligible to return on Sunday but he hasn't practiced so that's not happening.

Even out side of FA, bc swung a deal last year involving an elite imp T.

He said She said. I would not be surprised at all if Walters and Mos came to be at significant odds with the roster. Especially when you look at guys going from favorites to released/un signed like the marine.

From what's been reported,  he already has a big say in personnel here so is that really a big selling feature?

Yep, BC paid peanuts for Allen (who was a pending FA).  There are moves available to be made.

Yeah, the recovery seems kind of perplexing. He's not enough of a focal point for a ton of questions to be coming in for him, but he seems to be lagging.

Should have some kind of update by next week. Hopefully its minor.

Yeah. I think the CFL GMs are much more inclined to make trades now than they were a few years ago. And Cap wise, you don't often risk much with an off season trade.
