35 24 shots Jets. Unreal. Dominating indeed.  Jets wanted it and went out there and got it.

What a win.....Helle 3 wins from the record.

Sadly I don't think he'll get a chance to tie the record. He'll prolly get one of the last 2 games off.

yeah I too have a feeling that Comrie is going to start one of them

Lol third goal by KC, Dallas fan gives him the finger while celebrating against the glass. Should have got the puck flipped it over the glass for him. Here you go sir, have a great night. 🙂

He certainly should.  Records are great, but a rested goalie in the playoffs is better.

Stay classy Dallas.   Stay classy.

Lifted from the hockey writers:

'However, the Jets are not a balanced team. They mainly rely on Hellebuyck’s top-level goaltending as their defense'.

Fair assessment?

I would think our D offers up some level of resistance to assist Helle? Jeebus.

While Hellebuyck is without question the team and league MVP, the Jets are still extremely well balanced and their commitment to defensive structure, as a team, is noticeable. Helle is All World, but it's not just him out there...

Suspect Comrie, Helle, Comrie last 3.

This used to be the case, but the team defense has improved.  What did St. Louis have?  15 shots?  Dallas had 25 last night and they were desperately trying to get back into the game.

The Jets have the most regular season wins in the last 2 seasons. And they are holding teams to under 30 shots a game for a long time. They have done this for 164 - 3 games.  So an extra 16? It’s possible

If you ignore the quotes and merely answer the bolded part, the answer is always “no”, regardless of the article or issue at hand. The Hockey Writers are hackS, IMO. Just write “provocative” hot takes for click bait.

Sure but 1 of 6 defensemen not to mention the fact of our forwards (trying to) executing their defensive assignments?

He makes mistakes at the worst of times. Costs us games.

Right but we have also other player (s) (D and O) play good defense that have helped us win games suggesting the statement  we mainly rely on Helle for defense is a bit flawed.

I am not a huge Stanley fan but i think he has made strides in reducing his mistakes especially playing with Schenn,or Miller. Schenn has been a great pickup for solidifying our 6  imo.

The third goal by KConn is a prime example - the Stars were on offense and in a split second Iafallo had broken it up and headmanned it up to Scheif who did an amazing flip of the puck to KConn streaking down the center of the ice, with no one on him as Dallas had been caught flat-footed and totally out of position.  This is what sets us apart.  Talent but also coaching to take advantage of other teams' lapses.  We all know the playoffs means another speed higher and the Jets have had a hard time finding that extra gear in prior years, but the last few games for the Jets to me have been played at a playoff level intensity and the Jets have responded to it well.  Will they be ready this year for the next level?  We will see.

Yes Schenn and Tanev have been much bigger impact players for the Jets than say a Kevin Hayes-like rental would have been, in my opinion.  Schenn gives the D a much-needed veteran presence with his customary physical play and Tanev is an energizer bunny that just hits everything in sight.  That's going to really come into play in the playoff grind should the Jets get through the first round.

Stanley sets a new career high in points. The Stanley hate is actually insane as he’s better than the other options. Don’t like Stanley? That’s fine but to suggest he always makes mistakes is just wrong. He’s a 3rd pair LHD who kills penalties and does it well. He’s better than fleury and heinola. That’s his competition whether people accept it or not. Every d man messes up. Josh even screws up at times but it’s only pointed out when Stanley does it cuz hey he’s on the ice so must be his guy.

Schenn isn’t a rental btw. Just thought I’d add that. 1 year left still.

my best guess Schenn and Miller split time on the 3rd pairing next season. With Stanley as 3 LHD as Stanley plays well with both.

ville I see being traded for some draft picks

demelo Josh.
pionk samberg

pionk will be signed to 5 or 6 years as dude has made the peg his home

schenn Miller UFA after next season. Salomonnson takes the spot and miller walks and Schenn prob retires at that point.

All of us on here could do a more fair and balanced write up on the Jets.

if you ask me, I think they are actually relying on him less than ever this year. Shots against are way down. Comrie shut out the knights ffs. It’s not just Helle but I also think he should win the Hart as he’s the most valuable player in the league. Regardless 45 wins is 45 wins and that’s impressive as anything. Are the Jets the best team in the league without him? Probably not. But I think they still a very good playoff team without him. They are deep. Who really been driving the bus the last couple weeks is guys like Barron and Iafallo and Tanev and JAD and it’s a deep deep team. JAD is a great example. Dudes looked insane the past few games. That’s our depth. Our depth is our working other teams best players. I’m not a fan of the fancy stats but ppl who are say the ones that matter the most, the jets are 1 2 or top 5 minus the PK which I think is 17th maybe but a large improvement from last year.
