watching Bedard is always a treat.

Bedard is a one trick pony but man it is a hell of a trick....

This lacrosse goal in hockey feels like travelling in basketball. Doesn’t feel right and as I have said before a guilty pleasure of mine is seeing a said player attempting lacrosse move laid out right before he turns to deposit the puck.

As a former goaltender, I hate the lacrosse goal. I’d prob take a swing at a guy if he tried that. Probably with the stick hextall style

I think every kid who tries it deserves to get a stick or punch to the face....

Unfortunately, it’s here to stay until the league decides to outlaw it…. And that seems unlikely because it’s always a big deal in the highlights and everyone goes nuts.  Personally, I think it’s BS.

To paraphrase Howie Meeker, now that’s NOT hockey.

It’s awfully close to being high sticking. Eventually the player trying it will nail the goalie in the head with his stick and that will be the end.

There was a funny vid going around the other day of a kids minor hockey game. Kid tried the lacrosse goal and didn't get it and the tendy wound up and absolutely SWATTED him one with the stick. They were like 10 years old so it was really funny.

I thought for sure Heinie would be ready tonight guess not

He needs conditioning with Moose first and even then I suspect he'll be a Moosehead for rest of year because no waivers.

They have a goal now.  Ugh.

Jets were dominating.  Hit 2 posts.  But trail.

Missing KFC right now. Everything but the finish.

tie game Barron puts us on the board

3 posts.

And finally a goal. 👍🏻

What a horrendous call on Lowry for goalie interference.  That **** needs to be reviewable.

Dominated and goalied

That one trick pony is good

Is it late January already?

Jets looked good tonight. If you can't finish, you're going to lose close games. If they can just get production from some of their forwards, they can maintain this run. I feel like 55 needs to fill the KFC hole right now.

Not goalied... Hate how often that gets tossed around. They couldn't finish and hit too many posts. Against a team as bad as Chicago, you need more offense... Top line didn't do enough offensively.

Agreed. Shots that are mostly low percentage chances...help the goalie stay sharp.

Could have easily been a 4-1 win, but that’s the way it goes sometimes.

Didn’t like how we defended Bedard on the OT winner.  He’s obviously a very talented player, but you have to try and keep him from shooting, first and foremost.  If someone else beats you because he makes a good pass, so be it.

He's a one trick pony but it's a hell of a trick. As you mentioned, you have to keep him from being able to release clean shots. Now sometimes that's easier said than done, but I agree the Jets didn't do enough to take him outta the game. He's all they've got... That's the ONE GUY you have to make sure doesn't get loose.
