I get that players should not be gambling, but given that Gretzky and McDavid are doing commercials in support of gambling sites with the full approval of the NHL, I’d be a bit pissed about the seeming contradiction if I was Pinto.

I wouldn't count them out yet, not when you have the best player in the world on your team but the perfect storm may be brewing if they somehow lose their next game to the Sharks.

Well they do employ Evander Kane. 

One of the few challenges of having the best player on the planet playing for you is flying under the radar is not an option. I really enjoy some of their individual players but I have little pity for the Oilers as a lifelong Winnipeg Jet Fan.
