2020 USA ELECTION!!!!

It's finally here- JFC that was a LONG 4 years.

And it begins:

Apparently, this tiny little hamlet of 12 people vote every election right at midnight- thus becoming the absolute first results in the USA.

Let's hope this becomes a trend! :D

Looks like Reverend Warnock is claiming victory, Loeffler has not conceded.

If the GOP loses both seats.......the finger pointing round there is going to be epic, simply epic....

NBC calls it for Warnock, Ossoff goes in front of Perdue with a lot of potential democrat votes left to be counted

After tonight's senate take over- a few thoughts:

Brian Kemp stole the election from Stacey Abrams in her bid for governor.  Stacey Abrams in turn, helped to unseated trump, wrest control of the senate from the GOP and fueled a new generation of voters in Georgia. Thank you Brian Kemp. Stacey Abrams is a ******* assassin of the GOP.

:The trump era dawned on the GOP controlling: the Senate, Congress and the Executive branch. 4 years later, the GOP lost: Congress, the Executive branch, now the Senate and a GOP at war with itself... I guess that answers the age old question, "WHat happens when you elect a person that bankrupted a casino to the POTUS?"

With every defeat of the GOP I always pause and remember this little tweet from Lady G:

Now after the 20th of this month, maybe the people of the USA will get the help and leadership they need. In these extremely challenging times, I hope people will find that extra bit of kindness and motivation to reach out and help- to make the right choices that are better for everyone, together.  New year, new era- let see how it goes.

While Ms. Abrams is widely expected to run for governor again in 2022, she is at the moment one of the most influential American politicians not in elected office. It was her political infrastructure and strategy of increasing turnout among the state’s Black, Latino and Asian voters that laid the groundwork for both President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s victory in November and the Democrats’ performance in the Senate races.Ms. Abrams was not alone in Georgia, of course: Numerous other Black women have led a decades-long organizing effort to transform the state’s electorate.

For some reason I'm feeling that Graham only made that tweet because he didn't get the nomination

It rolls of the tongue rather nicely and leaves a warm fuzzy in your heart- what a wonderful phrase.

other good news. Prett sure a lawyer calling for drawing and quartering an opponent wouldmbe disbarred.

Attorneys working for the city of Detroit filed a blistering complaint on Tuesday asking the state of Michigan to investigate, discipline, and disbar lawyers working with President Donald Trump to overturn election results.

It is still beyond me that, given that these two GOPers are among the most corrupt and fascist in their party, that this is even a race. A monument to American stupidity.

Seriously? C'mon- +74 mil people voted for trump... that should make it more than believable that Purdue and Loeffler get so many votes. :)

Its believable but unbelievably sad and a condemnation of the mindset of many Americans,

Trump supporters have taken on his traits, they are boorish, uniformed loudmouths who claim to be patriots but want to circumvent an election. They are fragile people that can't think for themselves and need someone to tell them how to feel and act, the only problem for them is that Trump is fleecing them monetarily and morally and they don't have to the compacity of intelligence to realize that he doesn't give a damn about them.

50/50 ties broken by the Vice President elect means that Biden will be able to put people in the positions he wants in his administration which is going to piss off some Republican Senators who thought that their feelings should be first priority instead of competence.

this is really important. specially for climate action.

mcconnell of course would have obstructed ny decent candidates.

and its so enjoyable that tie vote goes to Kamala Harris

unlike Obama, Biden pelosi schumer now must do substantial work to help the people that  voted for them.

wake the fack up.

Looking around, Loeffler is getting toasted as well.
Loeffler's qualifications began with the sex of her birth and ended with the net worth of her husband.   Her cosplaying (despite being a near billionaire) as some sort of grass roots hillbilly was pretty uncomfortable for many.   Along with campaigning with the QAnon Queen, Marjorie Taylor Greene..........

Huh, I thought it would be Sally Yates, but I am happy with this pick.

A little justice for Merrick, looks like a whole department of it.
