I don’t know about this being a good idea. You saw how lucky we got with samberg and Ehlers also got injured in a basically nothing game also.

Would help if some of these journalists had seen even one Jets game all year.  Still remember how flustered the eastern media was when they were forced to cover the Jets in the third round and learn some of the player names, calling Blake Wheeler "Mark" etc. etc.

they all think it’s hellebuyck and just a bunch of crap. Like Helle is the only reason for us being good. His shot totals are down but no mention of that. Helle is a superstar in the league but I’d argue Connor Scheifele and morrissey are also but no mention of them even.  They all play in to the nobody wants to play there narratives. It’s the media pushing this crap always. It’s insane how much disrespect they get. If they win the cup tsn top headline will be how does the jets winning the cup help the leafs chances next season.

We are keeping Iafallo for three years

3 years 11 million. Call me surprised with this one although I have heard AI has kind of fallen in love with the peg. I’m curious if this means Appleton won’t be signed cuz Nino Lowry Iafallo is a good checking line.

More than likely spells the end of Apples. Iafallo at 3.66 is a much better spend though.

Totally agree.  Appleton is easily replaced and I really hope this is the end for him here.

I hope it's not the end for Apples, but he will have to play at a contract similar or slightly less than the one he is getting now. I would imagine someone else will pay him more.

I honestly don’t think he’s good enough to be on the Jets anymore.  He’s just so limited.  He’d be good on a team with young players that they want to buy into a certain style of play.  He plays his role and is generally positionally sound, but he’s in the way of better options here.
