Don't know why anyone would want to buy a traditional news propery in this day and age.  The economics don't make sense and dwindling future subscriptions as the majority of the youth of today certainly don't follow or read traditional news media.

They could very easily start widening Route 90 between Grant and Taylor at least.

The other construction that isnt talked about enough is extending Moray Street to the Perimeter. This would remove a tonne of the traffic that ends up going down Grant then onto Shafsbury or Route 90. This has been on the city planning maps for 50 years but nothing has been done.

At this point, I dont think people want to get rid of the dog park.

So this story originally stated that the fall occurred at HSC but it turns out this didn't happen in Winnipeg at all.

She was originally admitted to a Winnipeg hospital on May 11th (HSC presumably) but was transferred to a BC hospital at some point before the fall happened on May 26th.

So drug recovery + suicide attempt is how I read it.

Yeah if you're admitted to a secure wing of a hospital, it's usually for your own safety (ex: suicide or self-harm attempts).

What is the latest news on it?  Last I heard was the Chip and Pepper guys screwed over Upper Crust Bakery and also closed down some other bakery.

Apparently they owe the bank and the guy they bought KUB from a bunch of money. RBC is suing them for $700k.

 

I was just in that area, I didn't hear the explosion but I was at the Wayback Burger on that end waiting on an order when I saw the posts on the Transcona group page, I could see the smoke from the bus stop, I let my parents know right away that I was nowhere near that incident and went home as soon as my bus arrived

Hope nobody was in there at the time because that house is gone.   

I've seen video from neighbors on that street and it looks like a war zone.

I just had a lowly GA ticket. Once it started moving it actually went pretty fast. Neat event and Burr was on fire.
