^^ It's getting harder and harder to know what and who to believe.

Credible reports from BBC and Al-Jazeera have been consistent in reporting that the Russians made some advances in Donetsk but have bogged down and even lost significant ground in the north-east.

Yes, and there were also reports like that about Mariupol.

1. War

causing great suffering, Africa.

https://www.nrc.no/shorthand/fr/the-worlds-most-neglected-displacement-crises-in-2021/index.html

Each year, the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) publishes a list of the ten most neglected displacement crises in the world. The purpose is to focus on the plight of people whose suffering rarely makes international headlines, who receive no or inadequate assistance, and who never become the centre of attention for international diplomacy efforts.

This is the list for 2021.

For the first time, all of the ten crises are on the African continent.
That many African countries are figuring high on the list is far from new. For example, the crisis in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DR Congo) has become a textbook example of neglect, featuring in this list six times in a row."

Corruption and muslim jihadists. Who funds the african jihadists?

Brexit will not undone in any scenario- that would take another act of UK parliament to reverse that disastrous decision that was encouraged and funded by Russia.

And, then, the EU would have to let them back in. It's just not happening.

The grifters got what they wanted and made a load of money off Brexit. The plebs are the one's suffering. Hopefully, Scotland breaks away and rejoins the EU.

No, surprises here. Top grifters:

And Ulster (Northern Ireland) as well as Wales have stated that they reserve the option to join the EU as independent states.

Yes, but neither of those have been pushing to get out of the UK. Yes, there is always a faction but it's not Scotland.

Scotland's vote to leave the UK  was almost 50/50 and that was before Brexit.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson Survives No-Confidence Vote

LONDON (AP) — British Prime Minister Boris Johnson survived a no-confidence vote on Monday, securing enough support from his Conservative Party to remain in office despite a rebellion that leaves him a weakened leader with an uncertain future.

Known for his ability to shrug off scandals, the charismatic leader has struggled to turn the page on revelations that he and his staff repeatedly held boozy parties that flouted the COVID-19 restrictions they imposed on others. Support among his fellow Conservative lawmakers has weakened as some see the leader, renowned for his ability to connect with voters, increasingly as a liability rather than an asset in elections.

Johnson won the backing of 211 out of 359 Conservative lawmakers, more than the simple majority needed to remain in power, but still a significant rebellion of 148 MPs. With no clear front-runner to succeed him, most political observers had predicted he would defeat the challenge.

That is the strangest looking man I've ever seen.

Russia has several areas in the far east and south east that are inhabited by people who are distinctly Mongolian in appearance. These areas are largely poor and uneducated and have been heavily relied upon to fill out the ranks of the Wagner group and kill-squads of the Russian army. For those who are unfamiliar with the Wagner group, it is loosely affiliated with the Russian army and is rented out as mercenaries. They are currently in Africa and many were brought to Ukraine, Georgia and Chechnya. Their commander is an out-and-out Nazi who shows off his swastikas at every opportunity. They were responsible for the atrocities at Bucha in Ukraine and other locations in Ukraine.

Boris Johnson Announces Law to Overturn the Treaty Europe Signed With Boris Johnson

In its latest efforts to annoy the rest of Europe as spectacularly as possible, the British government put forward head-scratching new plans Monday to override a critical deal it reached with the European Union—after tortuous negotiations—just three years ago.

The unorthodox move has been variously alleged to threaten the integrity of the European Union (EU); the union of the United Kingdom; and even undermine the peace process on the island of Ireland.

Boris Johnson—a prime minister who narrowly survived a vote of no confidence after attending a series of lockdown-breaking parties in Downing Street—sees the rogue move differently, characterizing his explosive legislation as “a relatively trivial set of adjustments.”

Trouble has been brewing around what to do about Northern Ireland for months. Now, it seems, Johnson’s solution for breaking the deadlock is to scrap parts of one section of the deal known as the Northern Ireland Protocol. His Foreign Secretary, Liz Truss, is expected to introduce legislation that can override parts of the Protocol into parliament on Monday.

The Northern Ireland Protocol is a trade deal which dictates how goods enter Northern Ireland from the rest of the U.K. after Brexit. It was agreed between the U.K. and the EU in 2019 and was designed to stop a hard border being placed between the Republic of Ireland (which is in the EU) and Northern Ireland (which is in the U.K.). This was vital to protect a 1998 peace deal which brought an end to decades of major sectarian violence in the region. Instead of a hard border, customs checks were imposed on goods moving from Britain to Northern Ireland.

But that has, in effect, divided the United Kingdom by creating a border in the Irish Sea between mainland Britain and Northern Ireland. Communities in Northern Ireland that strongly identify as British hate the arrangement, saying it effectively pushes them out of the U.K., and some British companies have even cut ties with Northern Ireland businesses due to the new paperwork.

Quote

TOKYO - Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said Wednesday he will attend a summit meeting of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization this month as the first Japanese leader to attend the gathering of the Western security alliance.

At a press conference, Kishida also said he will attend a three-day summit of the Group of Seven industrialized nations, to be held from June 26 in Schloss Elmau, Germany, just before the NATO gathering in the Spanish capital of Madrid.

The summits will be held as member nations continue to face challenges stemming from Russia's war on Ukraine.

Kishida said he intends to underscore at the meetings that "any unilateral attempt to change status quo by force is impermissible anywhere in the world."

During the two-day NATO summit starting on June 29, leaders are expected to endorse a new strategic concept defining the security challenges facing the alliance, including China's rapid militarization and efforts to weaken the rules-based international order.

NATO is inviting its Asia-Pacific partner countries such as Japan, South Korea and Australia to attend the summit.

dept of "no-one could have forseen"

phillipines branch.

"PNRI director Carlo Arcilla has been pushing for the activation of the (nuclear power plant ) BNPP, saying that it was an option that could be included in a nuclear program and that some countries have expressed interest in activating the plant.

However, Kelvin Rodolfo,  professor emeritus of environmental science at the University of Illinois at Chicago, said that Arcilla mistakenly located the nuclear plant in 2005 and claimed that there was no direct fault running through the nuke plant although there had not been a scientific mapping of the volcano.

He noted that geologist Mahar Lagmay, now executive director of the University of the Philippines’ Project NOAH, was the first to map the area in 2009 and found that the “Lubao fault passes through Natib volcano and comes out right at (nuclear reactor) BNPP.”

Prince Charles Accepted $3m in Cash Stuffed Into Bags and Suitcases from Sheikh

The cartoon image of Prince Charles rubbing his hands with glee while chucking shopping bags stuffed full of banknotes into the back of his wine-powered Aston Martin like something out of the irreverent British comedy The Windsors is on the Royalist’s mind today.

The image follows the astonishing revelation that the heir to the throne was personally handed a suitcase containing €1m (just over $1.05m) by a politician representing a rich oil-producing Arab statelet.

“It was one of three lots of cash, totaling €3 million ($3.2m), which Prince Charles personally received from Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, the former prime minister of Qatar who is nicknamed ‘HBJ,’ between 2011 and 2015,” the London Sunday Times reports.

The story, described as “truly shocking” by a senior ethics official, will cement in many minds Charles’ reputation for financial indiscipline. While it may be a little too much to say it jeopardizes his succession, it certainly poses urgent and new questions about the judgement of the heir to the throne when it comes to money matters.

Late last year, Charles lost his key aide Michael Fawcett, who was forced to stand down from Charles’ foundation after it was revealed he arranged an honor for a billionaire Saudi donor, explicitly in return for donations. Charles denied any knowledge of the transactional arrangement but a reported police investigation into the matter has provided no answers, being discreet to the point of invisibility. Prince Harry pointedly accused his father of being involved in what he described as a “scandal” over the affair.

"financial indiscipline" 😂

lol, just chuck them all out. just covered up for andrew.

how bout this?

"The Queen’s lawyers secretly lobbied Scottish ministers to change a draft law to exempt her private land from a major initiative to cut carbon emissions, documents reveal.

The exemption means the Queen, one of the largest landowners in Scotland, is the only person in the country not required to facilitate the construction of pipelines to heat buildings using renewable energy.

Her lawyers secured the dispensation from Scotland’s government five months ago by exploiting an obscure parliamentary procedure known as Queen’s consent, which gives the monarch advance sight of legislation."

but, nice table manners, and can play polo!

looked up their educational accomplishments.... only one of the Royals has a University degree. lol. talk about spoiled, and entitled. dianna had grade 12. lol. idiots.
