Well it’s Canada Day! Hopefully the last post in this thread is the Jets hoisting the Cup.   Enjoy the frenzy!

and Scheif and Wheels are all-star bound (I'm surprised Laine's not going considering he had a very eventful november)

Shocking 2 Jets are going.

Not sure if Blake and Mark couldn't use the rest instead tho

Paul Romanuk is such a tool. Has he even done commentary on a game since that gaffe?

I liked him as kid, when he was the voice of the wjhc. Not of fan of him doing NHL games though. I think he did the Spengler Cup this year.

Hmmm wonder if the jets have any interest.  Schmaltz?

Just a kind reminder for the two or three funny guys on here who insisted that Edmonton is a vastly different team after the coaching change...

I just want to point out that Ken Hitchcock's coaching record is 10- 9 - 2  while Todd McLellan was 9-10-1

So...an improvement.

Marginal (22 points vs. 19 points). I think the coaching change served as a wake-up call to the players and they then seemed to turn a corner, but then fell apart midway into last month. They're still only on pace for about 84 points, which isn't good.

My main point was because a few fellows on here boasted about the main reason the team struggled was the coach when for myself and a few others thought it was more so the players and the GM...

Klefbom, Russel, Sekera....makes a big difference. That's all I'll say.

And they're clearly wrong. Chiarelli and his piss poor roster management is the major issue, not the head coach. Besides, a head coach can only do so much with the pieces he's given. Management in Edmonton needs to do a better job.

Sekera has missed like a handful of games...  grasping.

Russell is back now - guess we'll find out how key he is soon enough

Sekera hasn't played this year, I don't believe...

Oh I didn't realize - maybe I got him mixed up with Russell - still not sure how missing him makes a difference between McClelland and Hitch then...
