So anyone go anywhere good lately, with iHop opening on monday (surely this one will be better than the one in grand forks service wise) I'm kind of wondering if anyone has been anywhere decent recently

 

a month ago I went with my friends to canadian brewhouse.....man that was a good burger but a word to the wise, do not get an appetizer if you also plan on getting the John Candy Burger it's the second most expensive thing there...but man those garlic fingers were excellent, but there were more than I thought so I asked "anyone want to share my fingers?" which they gladly did

 

I can assure you that the John Candy Burger is nothing like whatever John Candy like item that Rumors Comedy Club has....it was just two patties compared to the Rita Challenge

 

I'm not sure if anyone has made a restaurant thread yet so I'm just leaving this here

man I'm hearing if Arby's isn't out of meat they're out of sauce (I'd buy some from Wal-mart if it's in stock, I sure did as soon as I saw it)

Oh man White Picket Fence didn't work out in Transcona I don't know if it was poor business or the stupid ta***** that did them in

Walmart is American. Stop it. Do not encourage people to shop at American stores. We have Canadian grocery stores also you know.

What if the business says Canadian Owned and Operated does it mean nothing?

It said tarriffs but why OP went back and edited the post to star it out is beyond me. It's not like it's an offensive word.  If the board software would have auto-censored it, the whole word would be starred out, not just some of the letters.

Have had steak there that was as good as any high end place.

So....there's a new restaurant opening at where the Rent a Centre on Regent was....I don't know what type it is but I can confirm that Goat yes GOAT is on the menu

Most East Indian, African, and Caribbean places have goat.   I've seen it on the menu at many places around town.

Now if you can find a place that serves horse meat like how it is in Europe ,  that would be unique.

okay update: I don't think it's going to be a restaurant, the business is a One Stop Meat Shop so it sounds like it's going to be a Butcher shop

So I thought I'd make a treat for Mothers Day (mom got to have the first bite) it's pancake batter covered oreos, why? well I had been seeing some of Kyle Ishtook's content in the facebook reels (no I haven't copied any of them, I don't have the tools he uses) so I copied one of his that looked easy to make (not to mention I had leftover buttercream frosting from when I made a cake a month ago)

Looks like Freddys Frozen Custard and Steakburgers will be opening soon in kildonan crossing. Never been. Sounds delicious. First franchise in Canada apparently.

well I can confirm that there was a signage spotting for Freddy's on my end. I won't go on day one I want things to settle before I go (though granted I went to firehouse the day it opened it wasn't nuts)

 

Their menu is ready (aww they're not going to sell their fry sauce in a bottle here) I've been studying the menu for months and I've already figured out what I will order
