Ridirts @ Tabbies: Cellar Bowl

Might be one of the more intriguing matchups between bottom teams seen out there in a while.  For the moment Hamilton is Masoli town and ... well it would be the darnest thing if they began a roll to catch the Redblacks and Argos, even as unlikely as that is.  They got an opportunity with Montreal descended into even more chaos than they have now.

Big thing tonight is the Tabbies get to play against Brandon Bridge who apart from throwing two TDs in garbage time against BC is still well unproven.  If Capicotti and company get to him enough in this game, it might even be Vernon Adams time before you know it.  Gonna be interesting to see how McAdoo calls this game.

  • Looking good against the ticats d doesn't mean a whole hell of a lot

  • I watched a lot of the second half of this game... my analysis was basically that the Riders won because the cats did basically everything possible to lose... neither team was good, the cats were much

  • To me, Matt Nichols has been the best QB in the CFL this year.

The Stamps are very beatable this year....BLM, whether dinged up or not, looks mortal. Having said that, I want nothing more than for the Stamps to do to Sask what they did to Ham earlier this year...

If the QUAR rating system is any indication, you're spot on - and I agree.

Matt Nichols leads all QBs in QUAR rating with 89.5 and has separated himself from the QBs above 80. Reilly 84.4, Glenn is 83.8 and Mitchell is 83.3. Through Week 5 Nichols’ QUAR rating was 70.5 which ranked him seventh in the CFL. Since then, his QUAR rating is 95.4 and Winnipeg has gone 6-1.

He's undoubtedly making his case for MOP. Not bad for a ham & egger game manager, eh!

I'm sure Glenn will be back by then.

I don't think that'll do much good though.  If BC can shut him and that offense down on the road, so can CGY.

Saturday's game is in Regina. I do think the Stampeders' defense will be too much for the Riders handle, even with Glenn behind centre.

Ahhh I stand corrected, but yes, Claybrooks will throw the kitchen sink at them.

Lions OL got blown out. Jennings got destroyed by the Stamps DL. Singleton owned him all night. Jennings was totally psyched out. Singleton was a one man wrecking crew Saturday night. One of the best defensive performances I've seen in a long time.

Very reminiscent of a certain Michael O'Shea.

Can you imagine Singleton on our defense? Oh wait, Hall would have him cancelling gaps.

I sob at the prospect of having a MLB like that playing for us.

I sob that we don't & haven't for years... And never with Hall here.

I think Muamba could've been that player - or at least damn close to it. He had to jet off the NFL and ruin that all, though.

Bombers had every chance to pay up and sign him.

Not exactly. Besides, he's not the player he was before going south, anyway.

True. Only now is Muamba starting to look like the Bomber he once was.
