Lets see if we can keep this thread a little more civil.

I found this interview very interesting.  A lot of soft balls thrown at Trump, he explained his back pedalling on his more extreme issues as a lot of his claims as opening bids for negotiation purposes.  Which .. whatever .. I still think that those are insincere claims he used to get elected.

He does now come across way more presidential then he did prior to the election.  A lot of his noise, yelling, and rhetoric has been scaled back.

Remember the part in Toy Story 2 when Woody has a nightmare about Andy telling him he doesn’t want to play with him anymore? Well, that exact fate has reportedly befallen Vice President Mike Pence. According to a report from The Wall Street Journal, Pence and President Trump met on Wednesday morning, before Trump left to whip up his supporters into a violent rage that ended in them storming the Capitol building. The report states that Pence informed Trump once again that he did not have the power to toss aside Electoral College votes and—even if he did have that power—he wouldn’t even use it as it would set a terrible precedent. That frankness is said to have infuriated Trump, who reportedly told Pence, one of his most obedient enablers over the past four years: “I don’t want to be your friend... I want you to be the vice president.” That had to hurt.

Damn... do it then. The Democrats need to impeach and get the articles of Impeachment over to the Senate ASAP, toss it to them and let them vote. Let them bear the responsibility of what ever the "next" trump move is.

What's the bigger risk - letting Trump hide out for the rest of his term or removing him beforehand and letting Pence pardon him? 

 

The guy has the nuclear codes and access to foreign leaders but he seems totally disinterested in anything to do with his job anyhow.

Trump says he won't attend Biden inauguration.   Fine.  Nobody wants the SLOTUS (Sore loser President) there, anyways.

Why are they waiting?

Impeaching Trump will not remove Trump immediately, only the Senate can do that and atm they wont, most likely they will impeach when he is gone, two impeachments keeps him from ever running for office ever again.
