  1. I read a tweet yesterday, can’t find it now, where Hardrick told one of our reporters that he was definitely playing Saturday
  2. Watching the Packers this afternoon - they are always catching the other team with to many men, the wrong blitz pkge etc. Nichols ran the same successfully until the Labor Day Classic when the Riders used that bogus fake injury tactic. Seems like we have gotten completely away from it in the last four games, wondering why? The fake injury tactic should be easy to get around and wouldn't the refs start calling delay of game with an overuse?
  3. Someone's got to take Feoli-Guidino's spot on the teams and Wolitarsky has had some experience in college, and since Coates is Medlocks holder I can't see us expanding his role.
  4. Even if he's on special teams, will at least let us see if he has the right stuff. Real game action of any sort weeds out the pretenders from the contenders.
  5. Looks like he's finally gonna get a chance to display his talent. If Drew and Coates have a good game could possibly be a ratio breaker in the future with us being able to start 2 good Canadian receivers.
  6. I think Poop is quicker, Nevis plugs the middle better. With Marshall out this might work out well to get more pressure on Glenn.
  7. Got your wish, Poop is playing, Nevis sitting.
  8. Now Loffler is out, Brannen in as backup safety
  9. Knox missing means a hole on special teams, I'm assuming Wilson fills that role.
  10. I wonder if Dressler's replacing Denmark this week.
  11. Maybe he should read this https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/09/sports/baylor-football-sexual-assault.html
  12. Took me a long time , but bam, I finally got Fort Hew . That's pretty cool!
  13. Boom, wrong about Loffler, he's listed on the depth chart and Conteh (backup Canadian dback) is removed from roster. Shoulder can't be that bad then, maybe an injury to it he's been dealing with for a while?
  14. Rewatched the Esks game last night, Loffler seemed to be favouring his shoulder after a hit late in that game. While he stayed in his right arm was visibly hanging at his side. Might just be speculation but it looked separated to me.
  15. Next man up just not cutting it anymore for Esks. Down to 8 players on practice roster. A move like this was made so that there might still be a cup shot. Without it their season might just go into the toilet. A second round pick is a crap shoot at times - see A Richards. Wouldn't be surprised to see them make a move for an established receiver if they don't start to get some bodies back shortly.
  16. http://3downnation.com/2017/08/20/ticats-trade-john-chick-eskimos/ Good move on the Esks part. Looks like Hamilton has thrown in the towel.
  17. Edmonton 7-0. Bombers on a short week, Esks full week to prepare. Even with a depleted lineup there are still some outstanding players on both sides of the ball and they've been finding ways to win games. If we win this one we'll be in a good place and a real contender.
  18. Have to agree Hurl is not our answer at MLB, to slow to the play, gets caught up in blocks he should be easily shedding, and his tackling is not up to snuff. Most important position on the D and he was finally exposed last week in the run game. Up till then our stalwart Dline had mostly been making up for his weakness against the run. Unfortunately Knox is not An improvement in the middle. Hurls greatest strength are his reads, unfortunately lack of athleticism puts him at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to quality CFL MLB's. If we had someone like Elimimiam, Sherritt, Woods or Singleton, Richie Halls defence would be gold.
  19. Williams - Eskimos
  20. Boy what I wouldn't give to have any one of them in their prime playing in place of Roc tonight. Would feel a lot better about our coverage unit.
  21. The online has been excellent on four man rush. Having a tough time picking up the blitz though.
  22. I agree that any physical or threatening contact with an official deserves a long or even lifetime suspension. However there is no clear rule in place to address this. A one game suspension will lead to the CFLPA to seek an injunction and let an arbitrator rule. There is the possibility that they might extend the suspension for a longer term. A one game time out I think will make for a speedier decision, rather than trying to rule on a longer one. After watching the video evidence of both the facewash and then the contact shortly after an arbitrator is going to have a hard time not to give him a longer suspension. In any event a clear policy will need to be developed by the new commissioner to address this type of situation in the future.
