There will always be exceptions of course. And any mid-20s person still in college is definitely still a kid.

Because college kids are known to be so great with their money that they can just live off of NIL for the rest of their lives? I'm not sure the QBs we're targeting are getting much in the way of NIL anyway.

All the hand-wringing around here about holding onto people past their prime and you want to bring in a 35 year old return specialist? For what purpose?

Kind of annoying to be stopped so close to the goal line again, just letting Ottawa stay in the game.

Wtf. Was there even contact on that?

It’s equally reasonable that Walters heard Dru was being demoted and reached out to inquire about a trade possibility.

Let's just hope this game works out exactly the way it's supposed to.

I also like Nielsen. He's a bit of a breathe of fresh air over some of the other guys. I'm a big fan of his exuberance as well.

You certainly didn't provide one for your claim. If it results in a Grey Cup this year, I may have to forgive Dinwiddie for 2007.

But somehow league revenues went up? I don't know what accounting logic teams are using, but the math ain't mathing.

Not sure I believe the 5k thing either. No practice today and a closed a closed practice Friday. We're going to know nothing about the QB plans until the depth chart is released.

This is dead last by a pretty wide margin.

I think Perkins is the SY QB and isn't going anywhere. Elgersma is a rookie and shouldn't be put in the position of starting if Zach goes down. He'll be placed on the reserve roster (they already moved Vibert to the PR to open up a slot for him).

Cobb was with the #1 group all through training camp while Clercius was with the 2s. We never got to see if they were going to make the switch during the regular season.

Yea, but if we want a guy in that role he needs to be interchangeable with Eli, Chris-Ike, and Cobb. I get what you’re saying but if we’re using a TE, it needs to be Canadian. In the contact of this whole discussion, a 2nd round draft pick who’s getting developed (while the offence has looked pretty good), isn’t really landing the point for me.

I did not receive the error message this time!

They mentioned the blowing wind during the final drive when we were going for a TD, but I had no real concept about the weather until Zach talked about it postgame.

delete.

He was a pretty great returner for 3-4 years and 2.5 receiving seasons, like you said. But he had 4 separate seasons with multiple return TDs, it wasn’t just 2015. He returned 5 missed FGs for TDs in his career as well (rip endzones). Like a said earlier, there were 6 solid years where he was a household name. That meets my personal bar. It just looks bad if you only look at his receiving numbers, but that was only half the picture.

He was really good for a really short amount of time. Probably wouldn’t have got my vote. I take this back, actually. He had a solid 6 year run of being a top/elite player. That’s good enough for the nod, imo.

Anyone tried to go on cfl.ca to see stats? Not working for me.

Especially when they keep moving the season earlier. BUT - they don’t care. The league cited viewership numbers when making the change, not attendance numbers.

It’s not a slight on Brady, but if we want our offense to be successful, our best receivers need to catch the ball more than our RB. White, Wilson, and Demski should be some of our best players. The last 2 years - when our O has taken a huge step back- Brady has been our #3 and #2 receiver. It looks great during awards season for him but it’s not helping us put up points.

Well, one of the reason's TC is known for underutilizing the running game is because his RBs always have as many passing yards as they do rushing yards. That said, I'd argue we're already using Brady too much in that regard. He's great as an outlet when you need it, but I'd rather get the ball in the hands of White, Wilson, and Demski if we're putting the ball in the air. Brady should not be anywhere near our #2 receiver by design.

This morning seems good.
