Who are CFL qbs going into free agency this off season? I'd like to see us sign a decent veteran qb with experience to back up Willy. Not Kevin Glenn btw. Now, maybe Marve is that guy, I guess we'll find out.
I think anyone decent will re-up with their teams or head to a place with a better starting opportunity.

Coffee is known to help with the digestion process.
I thought after a coffee it would be a No. 1No harm in bringing him in for a cup of coffee and a number 2.
I always take a No. 2 after my coffee.

I'm surprised this hasn't been posted yet...
this obviously doesn't apply to all situations... but the point is there...
That was pretty hilarious...

Picard's snaps are rainbows that barely reach the QB. Defenses are getting into the backfield at the same time the ball is getting to our QB. Like wholly crap man, do something about it!!!!
I was really noticing that yesterday. People have mentioned it before but I never really paid attention to it, but it seemed really obvious to me whenever the offense moved in front of my seats.

Miller tried already. Went to him personally and tried to talk him into it prior to MB coming on board, but KJ said no dice, apparently, cause he only wanted HC gig, which they did interview him for, but ultimately chose MOS.
Wasn't that when he was already an OC? He's just a QB coach now, so he should be ready to listen.

Which current OCs might be fired this offseason, besides Bellefeuille?
If the Riders clean house, Chapdelaine would be interesting. Khari would be better than Marcel.
Chap is both the most likely and the best case scenario, I think. The Riders' offence certainly hasn't been the problem this year, despite their massive injury issues at QB.

Willy, Adams, Cotton, Gibson all placed on 6 game.
Adams on the 6 game? Commmmmmee oooonnnnnn.....

Crap. Hope it is not so. We just do not need any more bad news.veltung might be hurt it seemed from oshea press conf today
He took a couple big shots at the end of the game off of Marve passes.

Gibson has muscle tightness according to the baumer
Doesn't everyone?

I doubt he signs anywhere until he's close to playing. In the meantime he will rehab and have his agent scouring the NFL for additional opportunities.

Bombers don't practice tomorrow, then they practice on Wednesday so we will have a better picture then.So it's looking like Moore is likely to sit out another week?
They practice today and take tomorrow off?

We are going to need a very disciplined and consistent pass rush tonight because I suspect our DBs are going to have their hands full .. I also wouldn't be against having a spy in an effort to limit Lulay using his legs to move the chains .. this game has the potential to be a complete horror story if the defense can't get off the field (or if the offense can't sustain drives and limit mistakes).
I'm not sure how much of a shot we have at a consistent pass rush. IIRC, the Lions have only given up 3 sacks this year and Lulay has the best outlet in the league in Andrew Harris. I think we have to focus on containing Lulay and keeping a man on Harris at all times. Maybe we can jump in front of one of his dump off passes.

I'm also starting to worry about the health of Willy. I was excited to start this season because we'd be starting fresh after he got so abused last season, but he's already been beaten up pretty thoroughly.
As much as I love willy and think he's been improving in his time here, I feel that once a player starts to getting injured on a regular basis it doesn't seem to stop. And even though he's a tough SOB and plays through them, how long can that last?

Justin Dunk, with photos, explains some Edmonton blitzing.

Hope we've worked on the exotic blitz.

I will say this for Brohm (and I will make it short because I k ow most of you are out for blood), he does seem to get the playbook very well. Aside from those God awful WR screens and short passes MB was forcing on him for his first few series, he always seemed to go for an open receiver who had a chance for the ball. He went for his first read, yes, but the guy always seemed to be the right read.
The problem of course, was Brohm under throwing almost every time. Which was his issue in the pre season too. In my eyes though, that seems like a common problem for the back up QB to have. His biggest issue seems to be timing, which will come with reps/

No way to assess one way or the other at this point. He was obviously assessed at the half and it was deemed he could - at least - stand on his own. That said, he was standing in the dark tunnel and not coming out into the lights. That could be because the lights bothered him, or because he didn't want to be out among the crowd after he had been ruled out.
Bottom line is neither the team or Willy himself has a timeline on this. If it is a concussion of any seriousness you just have to wait it out. I hope he's back soon though, you don't wish lingering concussion symptoms on anyone.

I want to watch tonight because it is opening night and I've been dying for the CFL to start back up again, but man, what an awful match-up.
Bombers interested in Jasper Simmons, UPDATE: Signed to PR

Because we'd rather have a shut down SAM (dime back) than a shut down field corner that sees less action.
As much as I'd like to see Bucknor upgraded, our defence seems to be coming along rather nicely. They have been pretty solid the past few games and Simmons will, at worst, seem to upgrade our depth. If he is as awesome as he makes himself out to be, he could be a serious weapon.
I still see the real weak link of our defence as our DL. Westerman can't do it all himself and Bilikudi and Mulumba seem like they're sticking around the NFL a for another season.
