I like getting current players. They serve as kind of a history of my fandom. I’m going to get a Blue jersey this year. I was pretty settled on Brandon Alexander, but then we found out he’s hurt. So now I’m trying to talk myself into/out of a Brady jersey.

I know absolutely nothing, but Willie definititely said in an interview this year that he negotiated his own contract and that he was his own agent.

I think it was Mike who was talking about how Harris needs to play with a chip on his shoulder. He’s creating a “me against the world” narrative to drive himself. I really thought we wouldn’t get here. A few posters have talked about Harris leaving on bad terms and I scoffed. But it looks like this is going to get ugly - though I don’t expect Walters or MOS to say anything similar.

Well, this is gonna be rough.

He is absolutely sitting on some cash. He has to account for injuries, signing replacement players, potential returnees. The salary cap isn’t allocated until all is said and done at the end of the season, so it’s not really as simple as he doesn’t have money, things can always be manipulated. And if you think Walters doesn’t have that photo of Strev in his office, I don’t know what to tell you.

I’m not sure what you were expecting, tbh. We did our signings prior to FA.

Nick was actaully listed as the back-up on the depth chart last season (not that it really means anything).

Technically, I think it's Rose, but we have Houston as the next man up for the other side as of now. Also interested to see Donovan Olumba compete.

My ideal 2022 season involves the second half return of Strev and Alexander, combined with the two-headed running attack getting rolling as the weather turns.

There's two things that need to happen: He needs to get no offers and hang ut around for half the CFL season before he gets restless and tells his agent that he needs to play. And he would need to really want to play for us and take an absurdly team friendly deal to come back to Winnipeg (according to Walters). Which is possible because we'll make him look good and he could hold out for a bigger deal the following seaosn.

I was hopeful too, but apparently his agent has told us not to hold our breath.

I would never lose respect for the man. These guys lost a year of salary very recently, then had to come back at a discount for another year. He might need to earn and have no choice but to go to the highest bidder. And whatever, that's his business. In terms of his Bomber legacy, that's taking a hit for me. He spent a huge chunk of his career in BC, came here for 5 seasons, and will now end his career elsewhere. Doesn't scream Milt Stegall or Doug Brown for me.

He's also yet to finish a season.

No real love, just a guy that got into some games last year so you're hoping he takes a step forward. If nothing else, he's a guy that other newcomers have to compete with.

Not expecting them to be the second coming of Ricky Ray and Jason Tucker. I certainly see a range of outcome that sees an offence going into it's second year together making some forward progress.

Meh, Collaros, Jefferson, Bighill. Those are the faces of the team. People don't go searching for a 'local' face.

As much as we **** on the guy, Duke will do well for them. Cody needs a guy who can catch contested balls and Duke will bring them in. They'll have a lot more consistency going into this year which was obviously in short supply for (most) teams in 2021.

That's what I mean by pick a Hallet. Just don't **** up too bad for half a season.
