  1. My thoughts on the game: - Highly entertaining - Rider defense is strong - Lauther lost this one (he needs to be replaced, but not till after Banjo Bowl) - Riders got a P.I. call (Montreal player should receive an Oscar for that flop). Command Centre stayed with the call on the field; which tells me that, going forward, the Command Centre will go with the call on the field in almost all cases. - West is tightening up!
  2. If Lawler comes back next game, who do you think O 'Shea takes out?
  3. Any news from practice today? Any changes on O line, receivers? Ahhh....one can only hope.
  4. And if they do sign Bailey, would we see him or Lucky on the roster for Thursday? No way. The reason from O Shea, "It's a short week." Me, "Sigh."
  5. I'm thinking with this turnstile O line, the likelihood that he gets injured is pretty good (I'm not for anyone getting injured). If he gets a serious concussion, he might be done. We'd just 6 game him in 2025.
  6. IF we were to cut him in the off-season (not going to happen if O'Shea has any say) and it costs us 250K...I'd say that would be worth taking a chance on IF we could pick up a cheaper, younger guy like the Montreal back-up (Alexander??), but not worth it if only old QB's are our only choice (like BLM, MBT etc).
  7. Does anyone know the logistics of releasing a player with a guaranteed contract? Or do we know the specifics of Collaros' contract? Is part of it guaranteed? All 600+k of it?What if we released him in the off-season (I doubt they would)? Does the whole contract count against the cap?
  8. What proof do you have that Rourke has ever had this attitude? (Please share if you do). He wanted to make more money and try the NFL. That is his right. As far as I've ever seen, he's been a humble young man who has just tried to better himself.
  9. Yup! He DID make that 1st down. But the refs were useless crap, and the command centre is worse.
  10. Boy, yeah. It'll be tough for this team to make it. They'll likely have to finish ahead of Hamilton, Edmonton, and Calgary. The Bombers likely will not win again till September.
  11. Correct. And Zach isn't our biggest problem tonight (other than that he is old and can't escape pressure).
  12. Could we make a trade? Ottawa's starting QB for our starting QB...oh wait...
  13. Agree with almost everything. However, the reffing in this game was horrendous. It's possibly the worst I ever remember. But yes, our defense was not the problem. Our Offense should be able to score 20.
  14. He has played fantastic for us at times the last 4 seasons...no question. However, he has also been the beneficiary of great O -lines, and great defenses. This year he hasn't had the supporting cast and his age has shown!!
  15. Pains me to say it...Riders better team than us right now...Patterson is a better QB than Collaros.
  16. That was a sad, sad, play. That was a mistake a ROOKIE makes, not a 10 year vet.
  17. The Riders have made some positive changes in the off-season. To me, their coach looks competent. Their O-line has improved, no doubt. That being said, with Harris down and the game being in B.C. this game isn't close. B.C. by AT LEAST 10.
  18. As has been stated, Wilson's 13 receptions in a game was 2nd only to Eugene Goodlow's 15 in 1981. If any of you old timers remember Goodlow, he was quite a talent. He MAY have been the most talented receiver this team has ever seen - he went on to play in the NFL for the 1983 to 1986 seasons.
  19. I'd say one of the top GM's in Bomber history for sure...I'm sure glad we re-signed him!!
  20. Riders would do well to hire Pearce. But it would be a big loss for us...and I don't want to lose Dru Brown.
  21. I'm mad right now. No killer instinct on this offense. Good first half. Didn't show up in the 2nd. A Dieter Brock, Tom Clements led team would have destroyed a depleted Ottawa lineup with a 40 or 50 point output. Inexcusable!
  22. An opinion piece worth thinking about: https://torontosun.com/opinion/columnists/opinion-no-covid-19-vaccine-passports-and-mandatory-vaccination-do-not-protect-the-health-and-safety-of-canadians
