  1. I hate that there are 3 bye weeks. I'd rather the league go back to 2 and move the Grey Cup up a week. I know it's in the name of player safety, but a longer season also means the players have 1 week less of off-season in order to make $ ( if they have an off-season job).
  2. Yes. One of the amazing things about Moon is he could throw a tight spiral rolling out to his right...or left!! Incredible athlete!
  3. Yeah, the truth is QB's don't often stick with one team for more than a couple of contracts. When was the last time we had a QB in Winnipeg for even 5 years? (Okay, I looked. It was Khari Jones!)
  4. It's possible, but with 4 or 5 QB's going on the free agent market (Collaros, Nichols, Streveler, Arbuckle, Masoli), teams will likely wait till free agency rather than sending the Bombers a pick.
  5. But, but, but...passing stats are the only thing that matters...or so I've been told.
  6. I can't recall this much positivity surrounding a Bomber coach/G.M. re-signing!! Looking forward to many more good years!
  7. Now that I think back to what Dickenson said, if he had been a Canadian and had said something like that about another group living in Canada he likely would have been disciplined, if not fired (considering what's been going on with coaches lately). Hmmm. Just thought I'd mention this...now carry on with O Shea and Walter's...
  8. Sorry to be negative but of course this year's defense is better than Swaggerville just because we finished very strong and that defense started very strong (in the season). A better question might be "Where does this defense rank among some of the all time great defenses in Bomber history?" My vote ( and I've only followed the Bombers since '72) would probably go to those defenses in the 80's to early 90's. In 88 we had the lowest scoring offense, but our defense allowed the fewest points in the league. Having said that, this year's defensive line allowed the 2nd fewest rushing yards in league history (per game).
  9. "I don't care if the Bombers ever win again" said no Bomber fan, ever!
  10. I don't know. I think Lapo would rather go after Nichols or Collaros. Arbuckle might be too much of a risk in terms of being unproven at this point ( then again, I kind of hope the Bombers go after Arbuckle).
  11. Wow. Just wow, considering we just won the Grey Cup. I guess you just can't please some people.
  12. Bombers better move fast to make Buck Pierce offensive coordinator...or Lapo may nab him and give him that title
  13. I wonder if some of our players (Nichols) or coaching staff goes with him to Ottawa now?!
  14. Huge, huge loss for us. Lapo is known around the league as an offensive guru. I hope our offense doesn't take too big of a set-back next year. I'm happy for Lapo though, he is a genuinely great guy.
  15. I'm sure Walter's is not thinking, "Oh, I can't re-sign Collaros, I'll lose that pick!" If the Bombers decide he is their best option for 2020, they WILL offer him a contract.
  16. My off-season QB wish list for the Bombers would be: 1. Arbuckle & Streveler 2. Collaros & Streveler (I only put Collaros at #2 because Arbuckle doesn't have the injury history, is younger, and may come cheaper than Collaros, allowing us $ to re-sign Streveler, however I would be very happy if they re-signed Collaros). 3. Masoli & Streveler 4. Nichols & Streveler 5. Streveler & McGuire (Yes, I know we already have McGuire under contract, but with Streveler being #1, he would act as a close #2).
  17. There's a Palm Tree inside Polo Park, isn't there?
  18. Maybe he's showing some post-Grey Cup respect!
  19. Yes, this now has to rank up there as one of the best trades in Bomber history...special kudos to Kyle Walters
  20. Harris Demski Jefferson Jeffcoat Ritchie Hall & Paul LaPolice ( and the rest of the coaching staff)
  21. Streveler & McGuire look pretty mean...the others are just looking pretty.
  22. Interesting that Adam Bighill was voted on by his peers as an all star... despite the fact some on this site have said he has been "invisible"! Well done, Mr. Bighill!!
  23. On a positive note, I will say that me and a buddy had a great experience at the game. The Rider fans were, as a whole, very respectful. A few reminded us of our Grey Cup drought - and we reminded them they only have 4 cups in 100 years. Only 1 rider fan was a complete jerk and pushed people to the side as he went to the front of the bathroom line - then proceeded to curse out an older Bomber fan who had done nothing. If I had seen the guy coming up in the line, I would have laid a body check his way (but its probably best not to get into a fight.) Anyways, lots of Rider fans congratulated us on the victory and wished us luck after the game, so kudos to them!
  24. My guess is because he has played for both teams (and just to let you guys know - Abou stated that he was cheering for the Bombers)
